I'm not going to use the f-word, but the Sony people shouldn't be so quick to make assumptions about paywalls and "this should be free". Until Sony comes out and says "You asshats don't need ps+ for such and such feature", (and yes - they're going to call paying customers asshats) you shouldn't just assume the best and be disappointed if your assumptions are wrong. There's no sense in believing rumors, or even worse - making your own rumors up on the spot to argue against a competitor.

But - come on. Skype should be free LMAO. What if Skype comes over to the ps4 as a non-paywall app. lol. (Free as in not behind a pay wall - because 50 % of the people who buy consoles aren't interested in online gaming).

That was the same argument used with sony and used games. We know how that turned out

Sony's thing has always been "We don't comment on rumor or speculation", but I was saying that people have a habit of grasping to rumors or flat-out making things up about the console and hope its true with absolutely no proof that it is. Yes DRM turned out to be awesome, but what about making PS + madatory for online gaming - that wasn't what most people were expecting (even though it kind of does make sense for Sony).

People chose to believe a rumor that said the ps4 will allow 7 gigs of ram available to developers and that sounded awesome compared to the Xbox  One's 5 - which btw is a rumor in itself lol (it never stops). Another rumor comes out suggesting otherwise and people freakout. Until Microsoft or Sony, in this case, comfirm something people should put their thinking caps on, wait and not make stuff up.

Most people actually thought ps4 would have a paywall and pointed to ps+ to support the claim.

I'm not so sure about that, but either way I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Anyway, people need to keep up with the news anyway.

Are you really trying to convince yourself that everyone who complains about the system having to have kinect with it, or needing gold for features are all Sony fanboys, or nintendo fanboys? really? Or are you just aware of the fact that anyone who seen their blunder of a reveal thread and decided then that they dont want to put this system in their homes will not be swayed back into buying one by being offered less of the revealed features unless you pay more money, regardless of how much of an Xbox360 fanboy they were.

We are not arguing that every player should have Gold ... we are just saying that the kind of player that will use this feature will 10/10 times have a Gold account already so people are complaining over something incredibly trivial.

There was also some justifiable scorn towards posters on here (often with giant sigs that feature Sony games/products) complaining about this feature that they will never use, because their next gen console choice is clear.

I don't make it my mission to go into threads about the PS4 just to bash them ... especially when I have no intention of buying a PS4 anytime soon if ever.
