dont do that, make it half and half, he probably thinks the game wont sell more than 8mil! Also i made a bet wit him and he wouldn't take it. (it was MH4 will sell over 2.5mil lifetime).

Well, he's all talk. He makes outlandish claims, but when push comes to shove, he won't put his sig where his mouth is.

2.5 mil is a sucker's bet, anyway, but then so is 300k for October. If the 3DS was pushing 225 in June on the strength of Animal Crossing alone, you can bet it'll do better in October.



lol, cuz MH Tri did 1.91mil he dont think MH4 will sell alot more. Its a port and funny thing is its the third highest selling MH game in japan! Anyway pokemon will definitely have better sales than gen 5, i hope its over 20mil but 18mil is fine too!!

Honestly, I tried liking Gen III, Gen IV and Gen V, but none of them managed to either hype or hook me. Gen VI however...yeah, it gives me those sexy Gen II vibes. After over a decade finally a substantial leap over the previous generation again. Awesome Pokemon designs so far (Dat Talonflames!), cutting on the grinding with group battles, Air Battles, awesome new animations...I'm so fucking HYPED!

I'm not particularly confident that it'll beat Gold & Silver's sales, but I do think it'll hit 20 mil. More than 23 mil would be astonishing.

i hope nintendo will take the opportunity and do great bundles and price! im getting both copies 1 for me and my bro! Cant wait!!! MH4 sales will be interesting come Sept.... And pokemon i have no words for lol

i thought i explained this to you? Pokemon X/Y will sell more than wat you believe! Dont mix black2/white2 sales with new gen pairs OT: Sales should be very strong, if Animal Crossing Did 225k in june i say no less than 500k for Oct, most i see is 750k-800k


Even if you don't take into consideration B&W2, my statement is still true. Anyway, we'll see about that. Based on the Amazon sales chart and the vgchartz preorder numbers, Pokemon isn't going to best games like CoD, GTA or BF4 in terms of sales.

Using your logic, the past 3 gens, which have had much less hype than this title, went as follows:

16mil-18mil-14mil, though this is likely lower because it is the second DS title, and it's sequel launched about a year after launch. 

I think predicting less than Black/White sales for this is crazy, honestly. But everyone is entitle to their own opinion, so if you think 10mil sounds right, then fair enough.

That's just my prediction based on the preorder numbers on vgchartz and its position on Amazon. In terms of hype, no idea since I don't know anyone who plays Pokemon games.
