No it isn't, black and white smashed diamond and pearls opening, and was only cut short, due to the 3ds

There's usually a positive correlation between preorders and sales.

Wait, really? Not a single person? That is somewhat unusual, almost impossible if you ask me. Everyone knows someone, that group of people, who plays Pokemon. Unless you're like 55, I guess.
But still, I wouldn't consider pre-orders for Pokemon really. As Black and White pretty much doubled preorders every week for over a month, so it should pick up soon. But yeah, it's not preorder happy. I mean, I haven't preordered it and I preorder almost anything.
I would judge your prediction on the performance of other games in the series as opposed to the trends you're seeing from Amazon and the like on this case. And that leads you to believe that Pokemon will do pretty darn well.

You can't honestly be serious. CoD, GTA and BF are all games mostly bought by so called "gamers," and they are much more likely to preorder a game compared to the crowd pokemon appeals to.

Even if you don't take into consideration B&W2, my statement is still true. Anyway, we'll see about that. Based on the Amazon sales chart and the vgchartz preorder numbers, Pokemon isn't going to best games like CoD, GTA or BF4 in terms of sales. |
Except that it's not... Each Pokémon on DS has outsold it's equivalent on GBA.

Not to mention these two version releasing along with the games, I say....over 500 thousands systems.

Not one single person. Every gamer I know is a console and/or pc gamer. My little nephews have been raised on the PS systems. Others are of the smartphone generations.
And Pokemon B&W added 12,000 preorders 11 weeks before release compared to the 5,700 that X/Y added with the same number of weeks to go. As of right now, X/Y is tracking more than 10% behind B/W with the difference likely to increase next week.

I don't know what's equivalent to what but, going by vgchartz numbers, no pokemon game has passed the 20M mark since the GB days. Anyway, we will soon find out.
Most likely around 500'000. NPD is only for the US, just to let all of you know.
The Nintendo DS did 470'000 in April of 2007 (when D/P released in NA.) So 500'000 isn't too far off for October.
