Monster Hunter Frontier G announced for Wii U, PS3

News leaking out of this week’s Famitsu reveals that Monster Hunter Frontier G is in development for the Wii U and PlayStation 3. The PS3 version will release first on November 20, followed by Wii U on December 11.

Monster Hunter Frontier G may ring a bell for some. The game originally hit Japanese Xbox 360 and PC systems earlier this year.

The new versions’ content is identical to the previous release. PS3 and Wii U will both be receiving a “Beginner’s Pack”, priced at 6,090 yen with a monthly fee of 1,600 yen. There will also be a free downloadable version. A free trial period will also be made available to players one week prior to the game’s official launch.

On Wii U, Frontier G will allow for display switching to the GamePad. It won’t be compatible with the nunchuck, but the Pro Controller will be supported. Capcom has yet to confirm if there will be any 3DS functionality.

Yeah... not coming out of Japan

This will give the PS3 a huge boost over in JP! Still got my fingers crossed that, after that timed exclusive portable deal between Nintendo and Capcom is up, we'll see MH4 on PS Vita. God, that would be awesome.

if MH4 sells extremely well on 3ds i doubt a MH4 will come to Vita, maybe a side version (a spin off). But its not impossible. Most people would of bought a 3ds to play MH4 so capcom next MH might be on 3DS again especially when its at over 11 million user base pre launch of MH4

Wont leave japan

This is why the Wii U shouldn't be region locked, in case this stays in Japan.

It's quite difficult to circumvent MMO region-locks in some cases. When Capcom brings Monster Hunter overseas, they acknowledge that we are unwilling to buy into the traditional subscription-MMO model en masse anymore, and waive the fees. You would have to pay them, and you would likely need a Japanese credit card to do so...

Not everyone can read Japanese.

Please, please bring it to the West, Capcom. I will sell you my soul.

I'll have to get a digital copy otherwise I'd burn out the Wii U's disc drive from overplaying it, lulz.
