Do you think?  I'd have thought the market of didn't want the game enough to buy it on PC360 / doesn't already own a PS3 / is a Monster Hunter fan but doesn't already own one for 3 Ultimate / wants to play a subscription based MMO is probably pretty small.  For all consoles, but especially PS4 & Wii-U.

That was somewhat of a joke...but let's face it right now. The Wii U is in a situation where almost any game would help it. Particularly one with the name of Monster Hunter, coming out around the same time as Super Mario 3D World and DK.

But it'll be, as you say, a pretty small number who will buy the system for that game alone. But for all 3? That is a larger pool of people.

Actually MH Frontier was PC/Xbox360 exclusive. First time to hit a Sony/Nintendo platform.

I still don't see it doing much of anything.  Online subscription MonHun alone seems like an unattractive enough prospect; online subscription MonHun that can be played on a variety of other systems doesn't appear to me to have much going for it.

It's the same thing I'd attribute to Yakuza.  Sure, it's a decent-sized IP in Japan (on consoles!).  But the game is available elsewhere, on a more popular platform.  I don't think it'll move Wii-U's; and I don't think it'll be the deciding factor for people who were attracted by other games.  I think those titles will do that on their own.

Had this been releasing the same time as the PC360 versions, it might be a different story.

Will sell poorly as this is an old pc game. Maybe 150k or so on PS3.

As such, no PS4 version surprises me. Particularly as the U got one at launch.


Nothing that Sony said about PS4 in Japan so far, suggests the console will launch there in 2013.

I still personally prefer MH4. I wonder if this will effect MH4 sales...kind of doubt it.

yeah i already knew that, still doesnt change the fact taht MH and Ninty have been cozy for a while now and i havent seen a sony system get one i some time, port or not.
