No, i dont believe you will go to hell.

As a christian, if God is supposed to be loving, he wouldnt send you to burn forever for the mistakes youve made with your short time on earth, and especcially because of your beliefs. Its unethical. Could you imagine a parent burning their child because he/she did something wrong?

And of course, if youre athiest, it shouldnt matter in the first place.

G-D doesn't force His Love on mankind... it's more like you're bing told not to walk off a cliff, but you stubbornly and arrogantly walk off anyways.

Do I believe that you would end up in hell for Atheism?  Well, that's God's call and people aren't supposed to judge others.  As for whether you're doing something wrong by being Atheist, well, that depends.

As a Christian you believe that Jesus was the son of God and that his time on earth was to instruct and set an example.  One of the fundamental themes of Jesus's life is that he placed right and wrong and acts of kindness high above religiousness.  He was himself religious, and never said not to be religuous, but he made many statements emphaising that your thoughts and actions in life are much more important than what you do in the temple on Saturday.  He gave examples of Summaritans as role models (what would be the equivalent of a modern-day Christian saying a Muslum is living life the right way), he emphaised private prayer as opposed to preaching in church and he hung out with people the church leaders would call "sinners".  I would think that it is un-Christian to think that non-Christians are damned to hell.  So I would say that no, being an Atheist is not giong to send you the fire.

On the flip side though, I think it's important to ask why you have ditched Christianity in favor of a Godless existance.  If you simply can't find reason to believe in your life, I would like to think God would understand.  If your reasons are that you find the expectations of kindness and love that come with Christianity too difficult then God probably wouldn't approve.  If you don't like Christianity because removing God from your life makes you feel better and more empowered because you feel there is no one above you.... well I would say that's a bad reason too because humility's a good thing.  But of course it's wrong for anywone to speak on behalf of God and to judge others - so I want to be clear I'm not doing that.  I'm just giving you my opinion of how I try to interpret life's meaning for myself.  And no, in simple terms I don't think that non-Christians are going to hell.

You clearly have no idea what sprititual belief is all about.  Believing in God isn't some burdensome experience that you bank in the hopes of a later reward after death.  Christianity is easy, you just be a good person.  I guess sometimes being good is tough.  And helping others may take sacrifice.  But it's what we should be doing in life anyway.  But whatever happens after death will happen regardless.  Religious belief during life is not to hopefully book a penthouse suite in Heaven, but rather to assist you with the current life before you get there.

I believe in it, but I don't like that it's there. It muffles my impression of God.

I most certainly do. I may not be a practicing christian, but there are a few things I am certain of: Jesus as God, God the Father, Satan, Creation, Hell. Those are some of the most vivid spiritual realities I have.

I may not go to heaven, but I certainly do not want to go to hell. It actually helps me better myself believe it or not.

I also answered Yes to the poll, because most will. Actually most christians also will. The bible says:

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. It's funny, because if you are an atheist... you do believe in hell.

At least the original definition of it.

Also, the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Church now both agree hell is not an actual place, but a state of being in the afterlife.

Those who were faithful/good people whatever are filled with the love of god, and joy of knowing they did their best and believed.

Those who were evil and sinned feel a deep shame, sadness and emptyness, denied their creators love.

Essentially hell is forever being heartbroken like the ultimate breakup. (Well now. Originally it just meant your soul didn't exist anymore. Only those who follow god receive eternal life. Probably too depressing a thought for early christians though. Your uncle who you love but is a very flawed person who rejects god? Doesn't exist. Pretty harsh.).

I don't believe hell is a literal fiery pit with the devil poking you with a pitchfork, but I do believe hell exists.

This is one of a few biblical account that describes hell:

Luke.16 Verses 19 to 31
