It would mean alot of people who are waiting for the price drop wouldnt wait as long to buy it, and the parents who choose based on watch cheaper wouldnt have that to go on and might actually get what their kids want, or just grab whats in stock

Microsoft will loose a lot of money, and investors will force them to sell the xbox brand, then it's gonna be bought by Samsung or Google and that's gonna be awesome.

What in "having the the Xbox One at 400$" did you miss when you reply that you could get a PS4 + 2 games?
Last time I checked the PS4 was at 399$... Oh, you must be talking about the "actual" price of the Xbox One; if so (but I do not see the point as it is not related to the topic); geting a PS4 + 2 games will not give us an Xbox One... Which is what we want (again if we stay on topic with this thread...).

OP: Obivously this would be very good for Microsoft :) After all, for the non-Sony fanboys out there; the price may be a good reason to select a PS4 over an Xbox One when you are not looking at all-in-one box.

Just dropping to $450 would dramatically increase their chances vs PS4 outside of Japan.

Many will not care about $50, but $100 difference is a lot.

They've already fixed other stuff, however, I'd bet we'll see tons of sales/bundling instead of a "new lower launch price".

I thought the trend was to launch at an "enhanced" price, milk the early adopters, then lower the price once production can meet demand.

+1 The $50 price difference in Australia is what tipped me to the Xbox One, it's such a neglible amount really, Sony is price gauging my territory more than Microsoft is.
If I wanted better graphics, I wouldn't buy any console anyway.
