Guess what, you cannot snatch out the dvd drive of an xbox 360 because the xbox 360 won't work anymore even if you don't need a drive to play digital downloaded game.
The kinect 2 on the One is not an accessory, it is a part of the console itself. The only reasons why it is external is due to the console size and convenience on disposition and orientation of the kinect and console. That is why you'll need it plugged in.
That said you can do whatever you want with it. turn it to face a wall, block the mic with tape, put it behind the tv furniture if you don't want to see it...
Lol Ppl just talk low and with your hand over your mouths like on Casino. Damn I love tht movie
I'm pretty sure if Kinect were listening, tech enthusiasts with custom routers will point it out very quickly, that information is going to Microsoft even when the XOne is off....
It would be way too risky for Microsoft's already damaged credibility.

Yes that is also my opinion.
in fact when the Xbox one is off:
1) It cannot acces to the hdd as it will take much more power in stanby mode so it can't record.
2)It cannot use the network to send data for the same reason.
3)And if it were to track and record data it will be a day one scandal since you'll only have to install Wireshark on your pc and watch paquet on your subnet. If the One communicate data while off you will know instantly.
when on, it will not be able to stream video or audio for the same reason as no 3 and because it will use too much bandwith anyways.
The only kind of data it will send are game related data (reaction, emotion, heartbeat ), those data may be use to create more intense user experience in future video games. But the privacy settings will prevent those data from being sent if you don't want.
Nobody wants to watch us be nerds......I think.
"Games are a trigger for adults to again become primitive, primal, as a way of thinking and remembering. An adult is a child who has more ethics and morals, that's all. When I am a child, creating, I am not creating a game. I am in the game. The game is not for children, it is for me. It is for an adult who still has a character of a child."

Yup....kinda makes me hate Edward Snowden more then I should.....he pretty much made many X1 customers irrationally paranoid. |
I think there's something wrong with your priorities if you hate the guy because his actions had the unfortunate side effect of hurting the new Xbox.

How many of those other cameras are located in your house?
