3 blue lights are just IR but that one on the right looks bright. Camera itself looks bright though so hopefully it is a reflection.

Nah, dude, those 3 lights are infa red and most we would see a soft glow.  The camera can capture a wider range than us humans can see.  The one is the reflection, the other is the logo LED, and it looks bring because of the contrast.

We can't see the Infa Red well, just like we do not sea a starfield around the room with today's Kinect.  Even some cell phone cameras can see Kinect Infared Light.

Last I checked IR is short for infared. Bolded my post ;)

LMAO, "I accept your silent apology", ha-ha-ha.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

I just want them to let me unplug it so I can throw it somewhere out of my sight. I don't have space for that crap. I just want it out of my way. If I don't have to have it on then when on gods green earth does it need to be plugged in?

Guess what, you cannot snatch out the dvd drive of an xbox 360 because the xbox 360 won't work anymore even if you don't need a drive to play digital downloaded game.

The kinect 2 on the One is not an accessory, it is a part of the console itself. The only reasons why it is external is due to the console size and convenience on disposition and orientation of the kinect and console. That is why you'll need it plugged in.

That said you can do whatever you want with it. turn it to face a wall, block the mic with tape, put it behind the tv furniture if you don't want to see it...

It looks like it is infact not a part of the console after all... go figure.

I know its a moot point now but the issue I was raising in my original post was not about privacy it was about the inconvenience of having to deal with more clutter around my tv. Even if I put it behind my tv furniture it is still need to be close enough to be wired and it would still create an annoying unnecessary mess.
