Forums - Movies & TV - Superman would never be as reckless as in MoS?

The damage to the city didn't really bother me. It was him killing when he didn't have to.
Its going to be hard from here on out to take him seriously if someone is threatening the world and he doesn't simply resort to killing the villain like he did in MoS. Sorry but the ending just killed it for me. He couldn't pick Zod up? He can lift islands but cant lift another person off the ground to keep them from killing a family? That's just one option. I can think of many more rather than killing him.

Let us all agree to disagree. At the end of the day, MoS appeals to the Transformers crowd. Who are we to berate them for their movie tastes?

Not really true. I didn't much care for the Transformer movies, but I loved MoS

Yeah not true at all...why he keeps saying that I have no idea. It appealed to A LOT of people like me personally I felt that Transformers Dark Of the Moon was a total let down smh. But yes we can agree to disagree. Some people liked the movie others didn't.

It's his backahnded way of insulting us.  I loved Transformers cartoons and toys just like I loved Superman comics, Nintendo, Gi Joe, Star Wars, etc.  I'm impsrtial enough to say that, even though I like certain things, I hated all three Transformers films, disliked Batman and Robin, HATED Star Wars Episode I, and never even bothered to see the second GI Joe movie.  I liked both Superman Returns and Man of Steel, and the last two Christopher Reeve Superman movies were poop.

Man of Steel was pretty faithful to the comics I enjoy so it's a good movie, to me.  Liking the movie does not mean I have poor taste.

I never really liked superman because I thought he was overpowered and his weaknesses were unimaginative.

But I did like MoS because he faced formidable opponents where overpoweredness was toned down and weaknesses were more apparent.

this is what makes Spiderman a better superhero design because he's not overpowered which leaves you with more creative opponents.

MoS can't take the fight where he wants. It's based on what the villian is doing. The villians brought their gear to turn metropolis into Krypton so the fight had to be there and hence the collateral damage.

I'm glad someone understands that.

If I had to nitpick I would say why isn't his suit blue?

It is blue.

A very, very, very dark blue. Grayish dark blue maybe?

This would have been better:

A bit amateurish but better than the MoS costume:

Every superhero has to be dark now, its a rule. Bright colors aren't allowed.

The entire movie has washed out colors.... In Zack Snyders mind washed out colors = realistic.

They clearly going to change the custom a little in each and every new installment.

I don't know why people don't understand that about these superhero movies after seeing it all the time.

Let's take a break from all of this a'fussing and a'fighting to appreciate Superman punching stuff.  Now, doesn't that feel better?

Same.  I don't like the Transformer Movies but enjoyed MoS.

Same here. I haven't seen the 3D recorded one (Transformers 3)

At the end of the day, it was still the best Superman movie so far.
