Forums - Movies & TV - Does anyone already feel like they are rusing to make a justice league movie with this batman/superman news?

not saying i dont mind the idea of a justice league movie, i think its a cool idea, but they are introducing this new "batman and superman same universe" incredibly too quick. I feel like both batman and Superman should at least have two movies before introducing them to each other, especially batman. Its really dumb when considering we dont even know who is playing him and we get introduced to him through a superman movie,  just an odd and dumb choice in my opinion, and it feels like they are rushing it to make a justice leauque rather than pacing them well. It kinda makes me worry about how they are going to handle batman.. I like seeing  how a director handles the batman story, from how he became batman, to the villians, ect.. And now just randomly put him in a superman movie? just doesnt work nearly as well

Anyone well else agree? Anybody disagree

I think after watching the superman movie, batman would be pointless. Superman can throw people thrww mountains and buildings. Batman has a gimpy leg

I actually think it's quite clever to introduce the new batman in a superman movie.

Let's face it, most people (myself included) are pretty sick of origin stories at this point. We've had enough of them already. However, with WB essentially rebooting Batman now that Nolan is done with the character, that's exactly what everyone would expect for the first new Batman movie. Origin 2.0. Nobody really wants to see that. Sure, a lot of us still would, but we don't really want to. We know how Batman becomes batman. The details might vary a bit, but everybody knows the basic story behind the man.

So what do you do? You introduce the new Batman in a setting where there's less focus on him. Sure he will be heavily featured in this movie, no doubt, but still the pressure is off because it's mainly a Superman movie. You can introduce him in a much more casual way. This is Batman. This is what he does. He's a badass.

That's enough.

And then, when you go do the new Batman movies, you no longer need to worry about telling yet another origin story, because you've already established that you're past that.

With all that said however, could all this still factor into a rushed Justice League movie? Yes, probably.

I don't think this "realistic" movie universe is going to work.. They seem to forget that superheroes are meant for children.. Not 30 year old nerds.. Especially with JLA when you introduce an Amazon warrior Queen, the King of Atlantis and the last Guy from Mars

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I dunno about rushing a JLA movie but I definately agree it's way too soon for a Superman/Batman teamup...should at least be another 'regular' sequel to MAN OF STEEL first,or even make the Batman/Superman thing a side movie that doesn't interfere (much) with the regular superman series...it's too much too soon, they've barely set the character of superman up now they wanna mash it up already.. I also feel it's still a bit too soon to be introducing a rebooted batman...he should be put back on the shelf for a few years...Chris Nolan's Batman's gonna be a tough act to follow after all.
On the positive side, a supes/batman movie is not a bad idea at all and if done well I'd like to see it...hopefully there'll be another regular supes movie following that...I really don't mind the concept at all I just wish they weren't screwing with what I thought was a semi decent attempt at a rebooted superman series, one I was looking forward to seeing more of, in order to do it.

I take offence to this post... geek, the term is geek, I ain't no nerd.

On topic, I don't think a Justice League movie will work unless they do it right, majority of the characters are 'all that'. Avengers had a human aspect along side it's god, yet Justice League doesn't. The main characters are all gods... and well Batman.

Hmm, pie.

Stop watching Angry Joe. The guy is an ass.

They don't have to introduce the original 7 in justice league. They New52 version is much better for the tone they are setting.Another thing, the main characters aren't gods. Superman is an alien who has amazing power but not god level power( Man of steel and New52 versions can't take a Supernova to the face and move ftl. Mos version can be hurt by human weapons like missiles.) Wonder Woman is a demigod. Flash is faster than the speed of sound. Green arrow is a human,he's hawkeye's equal if not better. Batman is a human with cool toys(and is very very smart depending on the incarnation). Cyborg (Victor stone) is a teenager turned half man/machine with increased strength and sonic canon(increased intelligence).

No gods here. Just characters who need time to be developed. I think introducing the bat now is a good move though, we already know the origin story.

They are 'gods' in comparison humans. I guess a New52 version might work, people might not understand it though as many are not traditional, then I'm not familiar with New52 enough, is Flash really that slow? That's not Flash, that's pathetic.

It has been said that the Dark Knight Batman from the movies is not the same as the Batman they want to use in the new series of movies. So an origin can be done again or just don't mention one, Batman is Batman.

Hmm, pie.

I personally feel there's more to do with Superman. Man of Steel did a decent job at setup, a sequel has enough foundations to make a fantastic movie.
