Nope, more like I play good/great games which appeal to my taste and these games just happen to be on Sony's platforms, hence me choosing Sony platforms. It's frankly the same approach people take when choosing a console, they like a certain amount of exclusives on a platform, so they buy into and support that platform, and there is nothing inherently wrong in doing this. The wrong comes when someone tries to use that as a negative for a console they don't like and a positive for the console they do like, it comes off as hypocritical.
I mean I can flip it on you and say "so.. basically you don't like good games cause: i play Nintendo stuff" like you've done to me just now, but I understand games tastes are different and as I've stated in my original post, game taste are subjective, what you may think of as 'Good' to another person may came off as 'decent' or just 'average'.
You may not necessary agree with the concept that I may not like the same games as you, and that’s fine. I was merely providing my thoughts and opinions on why the OP list wasn't compelling enough to sell me on having a 3DS. As a reference point, I then provided a little bit of info as to why I choose the PSvita and mentioned two types of games that I like which aren't common on the 3DS, primarily FPS...nothing more, nothing less :)

I'm just confused about what you DO like to play in that case :) seemes to be a quite limited selection. You pretty much dissed a ton of genres in that first post. But yeah, an FPS machine it is not (unless you count that metroid game that worked kinda well).
The problem with the vita fps'es was that they got like no production value so they had to make the best of that limited budget.. but that's a whole other story. my initial reaction to your list was "wth? you like nothing?" :P just had to comment.. no disrespect ofc. (don't think you took it that way either so) we all like what we like, nothing wrong or right with that :)
+1 that you like ace attourney though, that is some good stuff right there :)

It's not that my preference in genre’s is limited, rather I game heavily on my home console and game lithely on my handheld, which yeah it gives the illusion of a limited selection of games and genre's, still I got around 5 platinum’s on my vita vs 48 platinum’s on my PS3, but I usually play more casually on my PSvita.
I played Metroid on the DS phat, clocked it too, but FPS like games don't work well with a stylus mainly because it requires a hand to use the stylus meaning you lose quick access to all the face/shoulder buttons on the right/left hand side of the machine, for me it's either mouse & keyboard or dual sticks. I also tried to play Metroid on the DS with that weird plastic thumb stylus that was on the wrist trap, it was supposed to give a second analogue stick feel...yeah it didn't work well so I stuck with the stylus. The only games I found which worked very well with stylus controls were on rail shooters like 'Touch the Dead'.
I agree with the Vita FPS's getting low production values but I think it's more to do with the crunch to launch than anything else. I did Plat resistance burning skies, it actually wasn't a bad games, control wise it worked, visually though it was all over the place, and it's online was actually fun, same goes with COD declassified, again CODs controls work, and the game as a whole is designed to be played in small chucks which is good for a portable, but again the visuals weren't great....it's gonna be a bitch to plat though XD It felt like Resistance burning skies and Cod: declassified were proof of concept with Killzone Mercenary being that stellar piece that has great production values.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not closed off one bit from getting a 3DS, I'm just waiting for that one uber game that I cannot live without, it used to be Pokémon but sadly not anymore.

If you’ve got time I'll give ya a lil history of my handhelds, I started with a Gameboy colour, had a lime green & clocked over 1000 hours in Pokémon gold, then moved to Gameboy Advance, loved Golden sun, then got a DS phat and clocked Metroid prime hunters, then when the lite released I got a DS lite (glossy black) and Advanced wars dual strike, also played a tone of chibi robo, then a big game come to the PSP FF:Crisis core and I jumped in and got one, found out it could do a hell of a lot more then my DS and slowly my PSP become my predominant handheld.
After so many years being with Nintendo, the PSP became by default device, back then I used my PSP as my main MP3 player and use to watch a lot of video when I went to work. This changed when I got my first smart phone, the Samsung Galaxy S, that then become my default media device for video and music, which then led to my Galaxy 3. Up to this point I was essentially getting all versions of Pokémon, my last being heart gold. After this I was burnt with Pokémon, so when the 3DS launched I of course went to the tour events and frankly come out disappointed, yeah the 3D sorta worked, but I was disappointed by the screen and graphics, it felt very PSP like and I wanted something better something as good as my galaxy screen with its vibrant OLED screen. Now since there wasn't any game I wanted at launch or the first couple months I didn't pick one up. Then the PSvita events happened...
Sony's PR worked miracles, 5inch OLD, HD rez (960 × 544 QHD), quadcore GPU and GPU, 512MB main ram with 128MB Vram, dual mini sticks, console like games possible on the go, and then I saw Uncharted golden abyss and Wipeout and was blown away, the child in me was ecstatic as fuck. I looked at my phone with its OLED screen and just thought how good games would look on an even higher rez OLED screen than my phone (GS1). Suffice to say that when I got my hands on the PSvita I was not disappointed. The smoothness and snappiness of the OS, those good looking games at launch, and the fact that PS+ subscription carried over along with my PS3 account, how could I say anything other than, take my money, give meh my PSvita byatch....suffice to say I bought the 3G version with an official 32GB day one. Sony's marketing worked and I ended up shelling out a total of $700AU, console, case, memory card, two games...don't regret it all. This is something that for me Nintendo failed to do for the 3DS but did with the previous handhelds.

Anyways, just thought I'd share a lil bit of my handheld history, it should give a little bit of perspective as to why despite being a fanboy of Sony's ecosystem it's not where I started from, rather how I use to be a Nintendo handheld supporter and how they lost me to Sony.
