Two things; first, this thread looks too much similar to the 3DS recommendation thread;
and second, you could add Etrian Odyssey Untold: the millennium girl, to the upcomming list.

Love the amount of Jrpg love the 3ds is getting. Looks to only be getting better in the future too! 3ds is THE hardware to own as of now this generation. Not being bias or anything, just speaking the truth.

True dat. I have a playtime of 20hrs...on the demo. I really want to fork in and buy the full version, but with the Nintendo madness this fall that's not possible :/

Ya I agree, if you take away the JRPG support then I think your cutting the 3DS at its knees, those games are making the 3DS for me.

I looked through your whole list, out of that extensive list you made for the reason I should have a 3DS, only 11 peaked my interest.

Out of those 11 I already own 2 of them, Metal gear Solid 3D(HD), Virtues’ Last Reward, on my PSvita/PS3. I will be looking into 4 of them once released, Sonic lost world, runfactory 4, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, Ace Attorney dual destinies, to see if they sill hold my interest. I will be picking up 2 of them Resident Evil revelations, Monster hunter (if the PSvita rumour of MH holds true)on a different console, leaving just 3 that I want on the 3DS, Tales of the Abyss, harvest moon 3d a new beginning, Castlevania Lords Of Shadow Mirror Of Fate.

3 games is not enough for me to warrant the purchase of a 3DS, and then dedicate my game time to it, when I'm still going through my back log of PS3 and PSvita games. Also, the 3 games I mentioned, despite me wanting them do not exactly have that "must play now byatch" so I'll probably just borrow my bro's 3DS when his gaming on his PSvita.

In any case, the OP list failed to convince me as to why I should have a 3DS when the software listed isn't compelling enough for me.

Sony ecosystem just suits me much better, between the  cross-buy games, cross-saves, and PlayStation +, they're killer features that makes the PSvita more compelling to me, especially because I have a PS3 and soon to have a PS4, on top of this, the games coming out on vita just cater to my taste allot more. Can't wait to play Killzone mercenary on my Vita and I love uncharted Golden Abyss. I just hope that versions of the 3DS games I do want make their way to the PSvita, if they don't, then it's no biggie, I'll play them on a borrowed 3DS.

Just my 2 cents, I'll probably irk someone but please keep in my that games taste are subjective, I may like games you don't and you make like games I don't. This is just my response to the OP and also to put out my thoughts on what peaks my interest and what doesn't....so take this as you like :)

The demo doesn't justice to this game. You should buy it. It's awesome playing Dancing Mad in the highest difficulty while battling Kefka.

Nope, more like I play good/great games which appeal to my taste and these games just happen to be on Sony's platforms, hence me choosing Sony platforms. It's frankly the same approach people take when choosing a console, they like a certain amount of exclusives on a platform, so they buy into and support that platform, and there is nothing inherently wrong in doing this. The wrong comes when someone tries to use that as a negative for a console they don't like and a positive for the console they do like, it comes off as hypocritical.

I mean I can flip it on you and say "so.. basically you don't like good games cause: i play Nintendo stuff" like you've done to me just now, but I understand games tastes are different and as I've stated in my original post, game taste are subjective, what you may think of as 'Good' to another person may came off as 'decent' or just 'average'.

You may not necessary agree with the concept that I may not like the same games as you, and that’s fine. I was merely providing my thoughts and opinions on why the OP list wasn't compelling enough to sell me on having a 3DS. As a reference point,  I then provided a little bit of info as to why I choose the PSvita and mentioned two types of games that I like which aren't common on the 3DS, primarily FPS...nothing more, nothing less :)
