I found the second day of the Formidable Oak to be the most annoying, although i managed to get the whole pathway opened, so now i just need to do the run straight on the third day and i'll be golden. Maybe pick up one or two of those other guys on the way.

I do like tha getting Olimar captured just ends the day early, so that you don't have to worry about getting back to the ship: if you let him get caught right at th e end of the day, you can use the whole day to your best purpose.

You never have to worry about getting back to the ship. When the countdown at the end of a day hits 0, all Pikmin that are under your control or within range of your spaceship will survive.

Hey, maybe that's the reason why you were always so angry. You didn't know that.

Really would have helped if i had.

Rather don't like this last boss guy. His final attack where he sets multiple elemental challenges out there, and if you don't destroy all of them at once he gets to live, is quite unfair.

The ship is nearby, so just get more Pikmin and take him down with brute force.

Rather feel like i shouldn't have to sustain this many losses, but eh. At least it's evenly distributed by species, sort of.

Victory!

Edit: huh, seems i'll have to do this again anyway, so perhaps after another 24 fruits later, i'll be able to do this better.

The key to losses actually seems to be his stabbing attack. The elementals are actually not that difficult except at the very end.

So you done it now Mr Khan? Huzzah!

Where are you at, still? The Vehemoth Phosbat?

Just killed it actually. Day 11 I think it was.

I have now cleaned out Twilight River, and gotten all but two or three of the fruits in the Tundra. That one grapefruit was tough as hell, between the dwarf bulbears and a full-size bulbear, and then you still have to dig it out a little before you could start moving it.

Twilight River was much easier: everything left that i needed to get was for Water Pikmin (flying worked for the purple grapes, too).

The second Shaggy Long Legs (the one in the Tundra) was levels more annoying than its Tropical brother. I don't recall too much frustration with the former, but nearly pulled my teeth out on the latter.

Interesting, I was quite the opposite.  First one was initially a pain, the second went down before I even got warmed up.

Hah! I'm still struggling with that one myself. The first one, so mean. Maybe I need to wait for Blue Pikmin...

Blue and flying. Once you tear the hair off the main body, flying pikmin can assault it directly without having to climb the legs, killing it quickly.
