hmm interesting how some of you guys beat the game with all fruit quickly...i am on day 46 but then again i have been doing more exploring and fighting than anything

It took me 50 something days but I didn't tackle the last boss until I had found everything (i think), you get a total of 99 days worth of juice.

I was taking my time though and didn't work too hard on absolutely maximising every minute of every day so it certainly could be done much faster, even on a first run.

After my 12th day, I have a buffer of 20 solid.

Despite that, i'd still like to get one day of fruit per day, at the least. It's still much less stress than i was putting on myself when i first picked this up a week ago.

Took me a whole day in Twilight River to get the bridge built (fortunately that short purple fruit was there), and then got Flying Pikmin on the second day and started exploring near the stump that... is this Louie?

Got a lot more fruit on the second day, and i know of one more that's immediately attainable, just that the logistics didn't work out on day 14.

Is this the part i was warned of? Where they take my entire juice supply away and undermine the whole point of the game?

Perhaps. I'm oonly on Day 5 though, haven't even got the Captain back yet! 

Really need to put in the mileage at some point...

Just means i had to run that day a few more times than i would have liked to to rebuild the buffer a bit. It's annoying, but not horribly so.

What angered me more was actually the giant crayfish thing that i ran into on a few of my attempts. Seems like it's hard to hurt that guy

In this case I would have game-overed had i not done so.

Plus there are those times when bombs go off, or you uncover a dozen baby orange bulborbs that slip out and wreak havoc, and upwards of 40 Pikmin go.

It's the Fire Emblem mentality again, just this time there *is* such a thing as acceptable losses, as opposed to FE.
