Did anyone played offline? How does the achievements work?
Do they pop immediately or you have to connect to the internet then they will appear?
How are they dated? On Xbox 360 I see some achievements for a certain game have dates and others from the same game don't. I assume that the ones that don't have dates I got them when I played offline.

You pretty much answered your own questions. X1 achievements will only pop if you're connected to Xbox Live. They do always track your progress though, so if you meet the requirements for one while you're offline it will pop as soon as you get back online. They will also be dated at that point. 360 achievements pop regardless of internet connection, but will only be dated if you unlock them while you're online.
