Just end this god dam franchise, a new gen means a fresh start, time for more new ips.

No need to overreact to this rumor. This is directly from someone meaningful and it's clear that they are in no hurry to Gear up again.

Cliffy B is retired and Epic wants to work on new IP's for the next gen. I think the same team that worked on Judgement will work on the next Gears title if anything. MS should just drop it, its not like they own the IP. That an the story arch wore out its welcome once they created a trilogy for it. Without Marcus Fenix as the leader Gears of War is dull. All the story that guy had to tell is pretty much over and no prequel is going to take that away. Even Kratos couldnt save his prequel and that was probably the hardest GOW i've ever played hands down.

Gears, Halo, Titanall all being big exclusive titles and they're all shooters.

It's a mistake. MS should develop games in other genres.

Make a mature RPG, a hack'nslahs, an action adventure game and some original niche titles for the sophisticated gamers. Fill the necessary voids already instead of profiling your console into a shooter console again.

Black Tusk studios also seem to be making a shooter. I guess Project Spark is a different genre, but I am not sure it really counts as an AAA game

Apparently Project Sparks game is their free to play answer to LBP. We'll see. I didnt see any characters or antyhing, just creation and customization. This could work with the minecraft crowd if they indeed do stick with the XBone.

well and new players... I have no interest in mine craft, but I do in that one it's seems vastly more flexible and advanced than either minecraft and LBP.... and it's free and surface compatible.... so it will probably appeal to a lot of people that are tired to play angrybirds in public transportation....
