You are giving that game too much faith. 2014 is the Wii U's saving grace, if 2014 doesn't help then this is another GC. 

Im not saying the game alone will make the Wii U a success, but i do believe it's where the wii u will start to recover.

Pikmin 3 isn't enough to boost Wii U sales in the short term, and honestly I'm not sure how much SM3D Land World and DKC Returns 2 will move consoles either... we've already had a sequel to the mega selling NSMB series on Wii U, and people didn't exactly rush out to buy the console for it. And with the upcoming marketing blitz of the PS4 and X1, I don't see how Nintendo starts branching out beyond its remaining hardcore fan base and dwindling casual crowd.

He says you should buy a WiiU soon because there's Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World and Wii Fit U to be released on top of the imminent releases of Pikmin 3 and LEGO City Undercover (Japanese release). And then he didn't even mention Smash and Zelda. He's not tripping, you should read better.

Nobody is saying Pikmin 3 alone is going to push a ton of consoles but it can give It a decent boost for a week or two and I think thats the plan. They have an exclusive every 3 weeks starting with that game, Pikmin 3-Aug 4, Luigi U-Aug 25, W101-Sept 15, Wind Waker/Wii Party U-Oct (like kely one in the beginning and the other near the end). They have also stated a new marketing puah would accompany these games and that will give Wii U 3 solid months of building momentum going into the holidays. Nov/Dec has 3D World/DKC/Fit U, those 3 games will very likely sell over 5 million and with holiday deals/bundles they will do fine.

As for what u said about NSMBU, its the only major game on the console, of course its not going to sell a ton of consoles on its own. Also every game in tgr NSMB series has released when the console was $200 or under and had a strong library to accompany it.

The biggest Wii U advantage is it biggest issue... the Pad.

Unless u mean because it keeps the price of the console up and not many games take advantage of it, then I can see ur point.
