I guess earbuds, as it turns out, are better than nothing, which is what MS seems to be delivering.

Honestly I think it's a waste including any headset with a console, as lots of people will never use them, and those who do use them a lot will pretty much want the mid to high quality headsets.

Sony and MS should save decent quality ear wear for special bundles that come with popular games that are multiplayer centric, and at a higher price than the std console.

I don't post often but I always keep up with the threads here... and honestly, I have begun to notice a few individuals who always derail threads and then put on a facade of superiority or start playing the blame game.

Anyway, the headset is not confirmed yet...

It was confirmed that the headset will not be with the current X1.  This rumor stated because of an error with a EU distributor stating the headset was included.  Later on MS stated that this was false.

Interesting enough how such silly stuff like this gets carried away on the net.  The Kinect probably will be fine for your gaming needs if a headset is required.  I know from my own personal experience that when you setup the audio portion of the current Kinect.  If you have noise playing at the level you expect during gameplay, Kinect will adjust for this noise level and you never have to yell at it to get it to recognize your voice.  If Kinect2 will perform how they demoed it at E3, then, it should be able to filter all other sounds besides primary person playing the game where you will not need a headset unless you do not want your mama to here you cursing everyone and calling them newb.

Lol yeh I just want the console :P I didnt even check what else it came with. Id rather use my ps3 headset that cost me 60 bucks.

well people assume MS PR crew doesn't know anything.... most of the crap happened because people start spreading false information or make assumption..... usually what is said is pretty clear and nothing has to be interpreted.... people expect to have everything served out of the gate when there is still months before launch, that a lot of points are probably still being discussed at MS level.... and especially since they have at least two more shows they are going to attend and want to have things to present and talk about....

I actually always preferred MS style of communication of talking about the NOW and only the NOW and never about the THEN or the MAYBE that will happen when it will happen like Sony does.... Sony always talks out of their arse about stuff that might be happening in 2,3, X years and always try to steamroll the audience with a load of information just to impress, but when you actually take things in perspective of what is to come remotely soon they usually fall short....

What the hell is going on in this thread? All I read is Xbox 360 failure rates and people claiming desperation because of defense of baiting. I thought this was a thread about the headset being bundled? Am I wrong?
