This is proably the only selling point for Wii U for COD. |
In comparison to next generation free online would make an excellent selling point.

It definitely is, but unfortunately it's being compared to this gen and seems like the only selling point is the gamepad (aside from the exclusive games).
I am so excited.......... I will buy it used just for the dog.

it will bomb though unless Activision and/or Nintendo can create a new audience for the game on Wii U. This will be a challenge. (this coming from a Nintendo fan here) |
this, he sounds mad, this is a forum disscussion, im discussing the game. Not to mention this is like the third COD ghosts is coming on WIiU in a week. If anything lets wait for official announcement

Do you have a marketing degree and reputable experience in the field? If so please regard this, but if not then you have no idea what you're saying. The Wii-U needs a bigger fan base. Not a new one. COD on the Wii sold well enough for activision to release multiple games and typically hit a million copies per game. For a COD port that is all you really need to ask from it. Nintendo needs to do a better job on carrying over Wii owners to the Wii-U. Not establish a "new" audiance, but instead convince their current one to move over. |
ok let me clarify, when I say new audience I mean people who already own the Wii U but have never considered a COD game before. They need to gain their interest.

Say if it could double in numbers to 400K, if CoD Ghost was a port to Wii U, could selling that much be profitable enough for Activision? |
i doubt it.

Ubisoft said it costs ~$1 - $1,5 Mil to port a game to the WiiU. If we assume the publisher receives about $20 of the $60 price, the game would make 400k*$20 = $8Mil - 1.5Mil = $6.5Mil
A small profit, but a profit nontheless. Note that advertising is not included in this calculation.

how much ports does vita get anyway? no one believes those would do good, so they are not discussed and most dont care about them, even some Vita owners. What does Vita have to do with anything? so what? doesnt make what people are sayng wrong? if you dont agree, why? have an actual argument.

Well few factors came to my mind to consider how poorly CoD can be for Wii U: I can be wrong but that's just what came to my mind. BTW: Do you know how many Wii U console have been sold so far? I can't seem to find the numbers for it. |
I agree with every one of your points above, except about the gamepad, since I haven't tried it for fps yet. And that's one of the problems facing CoD on Wii U. What needs to be done is getting a online comunity going.
I think Wii U has sold somewhere between 3m-3.5m....
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
