Forums - Nintendo - Call of Duty: Ghosts coming to Wii U after all?

Didn't this exact same thing get covered just a few days ago?

And I'll say now what I said then; it's not confirmed until it's confirmed.

I´m just sick of it, are there any Nintendo fans in the Vita threads whenever there is a new game announcement and go on about how horrible the game will do... ? :/

this game better sell well on Wii U or there won't be any other CoD on the console, and that'll probably hurt 3rd party games over all on Wii U

Black Ops 2 was on Wii U and that sold under 200K (according to VGC), I doubt CoD Ghost will do that much better.

Very true, and even more reason why this game needs to do better. BUT, hopefully this game will launch the same date as on the other platforms, and the instal base for the Wii U will be bigger now - so more people will be online playing it (which is a major selling point for the game)

Well few factors came to my mind to consider how poorly CoD can be for Wii U:
- Of all the Wii U owners, how many actually got it to play a CoD game? Because what makes a CoD game great is the online, and if BO2 sold under 200K, how many of them are actually still playing it constantly? (We know that there's enough die-hard CoD players on PS360 that the online wont go dry for awhile)
- There's a good chance that a lot of Wii U owners also have a PS3/Xbox 360, so wouldnt it be more benificial to get an online game that has a larger install base? Because that's what I'd do.
- The Wii U tablet controller isn't the most comfortable to use playing a FPS (from when I used it) so that may turn gamers away.

I can mailny see those that buy CoD for Wii U are gamers that only the Wii U/Nintendo only consoles.

I can be wrong but that's just what came to my mind.

BTW: Do you know how many Wii U console have been sold so far? I can't seem to find the numbers for it.

it could double the numbers...which still isnt good, but its something

Say if it could double in numbers to 400K, if CoD Ghost was a port to Wii U, could selling that much be profitable enough for Activision?

I have other systems. I will buy this on Wii U because 2-screen local (and online) multiplayer is awesome, and because I can play said online multiplayer for free. This second point is major. If CoD continues to be on Wii U I will save upwards of $400 in online fees.

honestly i dont see how it could do much better on WIi U, im not trolling but the people interested in the game already have a system to play it on, eve IF they buy a WIi U they will not get that version of the game because they are going to want to continue to play with their buds.

Actually, I own a x360 and ps3 but i am looking forward to getting this on wii u. I think most Wii U owners are looking for a few good games to play besides Mario, Pikmin and DKC this holiday.

Can we have one, ONE single third party announcement without the old "W!ll b0mB !!!1" phrase over and over again ?

Do you have a marketing degree and reputable experience in the field? If so please regard this, but if not then you have no idea what you're saying. The Wii-U needs a bigger fan base. Not a new one. COD on the Wii sold well enough for activision to release multiple games and typically hit a million copies per game. For a COD port that is all you really need to ask from it. Nintendo needs to do a better job on carrying over Wii owners to the Wii-U. Not establish a "new" audiance, but instead convince their current one to move over.

I can careless about CoD, the bigger question is on Destiny.

Actually the local multiplayer is great with the gamepad. I been playing COD with it and infd it comfortable. It is great because I have some cheap friends who can't afford consoles, so playing local is a good way to kick back and talk.

This is proably the only selling point for Wii U for COD.
