Exactly almost every game on PS4 is on PC and Xbox One with a few announced exclusives (Killzone, Knack, Diveclub, Order 1866 and...... I forgot the other game) That isn't exactly an impressive list of games lackluster IMO. Although I can't really judge Order 1866 yet.
Neither games list is that impressive yet to be honest with you. Lots of games talked about are not even coming out at launch (both consoles). At the moment its all about 3rd parties for me mostly (ACBF, Watch Dogs, BF4) and I will probably get Killzone/some indie stuff. But were talking nearly £200 right there.
I am not poor, but come on... the talk about not enough games etc is silly, when there is enough content on both consoles to make a serious dent on someones wallet :)
Now going back to the original post, its funny the magazine has seemingly changed it stance after being totally Pro XboxOne previously (before the DRM debacle). Also this idea that a Steam box will suddenly appear and take over the world, really wish some press would just give that a rest.
It seems the press are making bold statements right now, but I think that may have more to do with the poor circulation numbers. Lets make some noise and get some sales. Just finished reading this months Edge magazine (which is going Pro PS4) and though they make some good points, its only a few pages of the whole magazine. Very sensationalist reporting me thinks.

6 out of 10 feature editors at Stuff preferred the Xbox ONE. They have gone from loving the ONE before the removal of DRM to the PS4 and now thinking the Steam box can rule the world. Weak.

I would have had more respect for them had they not liked the Xbox with its DRM to loving it more without, but to throw the Steam Box in there... really just stupid.

Preferred it before E3, yes?

Heh majority of the editors that favor the Xbone have some laughable reasons and they start by saying they are not really gamers, one says he's a Halo fanboy, that's really convincing.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!
smh. I'm wondering if these people plays video games or just go and troll every forums they can get thru. Playstation offers hundreds of games, go and play!

So the article isn't what the headline says at all. |
So, here's 3 choices and here's the reasons all three choices are viable options... aka READ OUR MAG!!!
On the last bit mind you, he may be refering to the indie games 'siding' with PS4 due to MS policies and/or the MMORPGs that are free to play. But that is only my guess work.

£80 aka 2 games can be appealing, well in this case, 1 game and online for a year but still.
I'm not sure how viable Steambox is as an option, for the general consumer, it's not appealing, they don't know what it is and without big promotion like Nintendo, Sony and MS can provide for their well known consoles it's going to be hard to break through and get a good hold. Many might like the idea but those are already PC gamers on Steam.
Hmm, pie.
NO! STUFF MAGAZINE STOP! DONT BRING THE DUDE BROS OVER TO THE PS4! NO! LEAVE THEM WHERE THEY ARE!
