I still don't know why people hate this guy. Xbox is very successful under him.

Just as PlayStation was under Kutaragi. Like him, the Xbox will continue to have a stark success despite his departure.

I didn't get what are you saying, is that a reason to hate him?

He joined in 2007, the seeds for xbox success were planted long before he got there.

Personally I liked Peter Moore better.

That's debatable, but still, no reason to see a lot of people hate him.

LOL

Isnt this the same guy who just sat there and let Steven Spielberg and some other guy bad mouth gaming in front of his face?

You're right he should have punched them.

And actually no, he didn't just let them badmouth, they were at the official opening of the Interactive Media Building  at the USC School of Cinematic fine Arts, but the Speilberg quote on videogames was in pair with Lucas.

One can demonize who one wants when it suits him.

But hey, you get CGI's support so that's a good start.

@LemonSlice. Where he said he could sympathize... So yes one can sensationalize that easily and ignore the fact that he gets it but MS is chosing a direction of their own.

GGI's support for what?

I wonder what he means by caring for the character? Does he mean all or some? I've cared for characters in games before.

Recently, i have heard people going on about how they cared for Lara in the new Tomb Raider game

He will be missed. I liked his vision for the future, that's why there are many consoles. Would've been nice to see the advancements of an always-on console, but alas.

the bible says in habakkuk 2:2 - "write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it" or from the NLV "so that a runner can carry the correct message to others."

his vision was as blurry as an old man with cataract in one eye.   while if you only look through the good eye you can see the benefits but its like they threw sand in the good eye forcing you to look out the bad.  how many mix messages did we get?  how many no messages did we get?

The reason for that is because it was still early and they were being secretive, and some of the stuff you need to see it to understand it, like the advantages of the cloud and the financial benefits of DRM (for MS and publishers).

Lol @ ClassicGamingWizz thinking I'm butthurt.

I think the xbox should have remained an always-on console and people who didn't like it should have tried elsewhere. xbox live was known to be constantly populated with users, so MS did not have to worry about that.

Least of all should they listen to the internet, as it's flooded with Sony fans. Why in the hell should MS listen to an audience that isn't even primarily interested in its console.

I for one am very upset at the situation and am sad he's leaving us. He had great ambitions and a big vision for MS and now it's all gone down the drain.

So it was the fault of the Sony fans pre-order was low? No, I think I'll go by what I saw on the main Xbox forums which was Xbox fans abandoning Xbox. Don't blame the Sony fans.

i think most of the noise was sony fans tbh.  its like some guy steps on another guys new pair of shoes.  the guy says sorry and the other guy says no problem.  but his friends are like are you going to let him get away with that.  so not to feel like a "punk"  he starts a fight with the guy while to him it wasnt that big of a deal

Called him being fired the day after E3, and yes this is him being pushed out quietly so as to save face, screwed up xbox one policies and launch so so badly. This is only a good thing for xbox going forward.

There were rumors of him leaving long before E3.

The Xbox One launch doesn't really have anything to do with it.

Infact I don't think he was even running anything until 2010, so the xbox was definitely already successful.

TBH, I don't know what effect he does or does not have on the company, I just don't like his face and everytime he opens his mouth he says something stupid. Thats my beef with him, can't speak for others though.

I don't like Don but this is ridiculous. First of all, what was he supposed to do, jump up and punch him in the nuts? Second of all, he wasn't really bad mouthing gaming at all, your being over sensitive.

How am i being oversensitive? I ask a question that i didn't know about and now i'm being oversesitive?

But yea he should've punched both of them in the balls
