He will be missed. I liked his vision for the future, that's why there are many consoles. Would've been nice to see the advancements of an always-on console, but alas.

the bible says in habakkuk 2:2 - "write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it" or from the NLV "so that a runner can carry the correct message to others."

his vision was as blurry as an old man with cataract in one eye.   while if you only look through the good eye you can see the benefits but its like they threw sand in the good eye forcing you to look out the bad.  how many mix messages did we get?  how many no messages did we get?

The reason for that is because it was still early and they were being secretive, and some of the stuff you need to see it to understand it, like the advantages of the cloud and the financial benefits of DRM (for MS and publishers).

Lol @ ClassicGamingWizz thinking I'm butthurt.

i understand being secretive.  but its like they were in a vacuum.   when the top brass are saying different things there is a problem i mean come on.  they shouldve all had the same talking points down since unlike sony who ran like a chicken with a duct tape beak ms had all these idiots running around talking and ruining themselves.

#dealtwithit kicked it off, don mattrick 360 comments were just wow, phil harrison exposed the 24hr which like ubisoft said they didnt even have to.   some one has to soak it up and say ps+ is a good idea fuck it well match what theyre doing screw all  the copying bs so what get off the net and go play your games.  then him with the overdelivering mantra while giving you 6 months of free games some of which are xbla now we know.  not that thats bad hell they should drop state of decay to be honest get as many people excited about it

Changing MS for Zynga ?

i am glad this douche is finally where he belongs.

Don Mattrick isn't a douche as much as Jack Tretton is. That and the girl in your avatar.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does JT have to do with this thread? Keep it on topic.

OT: I will miss his iconic grin. lol

Already answered. B y that token, what does the "get a 360" line have to do with this topic?

Keep it honest.

"Get a 360"?

I did not see that line, but maybe it's something Don Mattrick himself said?

Off Topic:

Your fucking signature though..

Staaaaaahhhhhp!! *in my Sammie from Jersey Shore voice*

That's too bad. Don wasn't too bad of a guy. I don't think zynga is going to see much benefit from this but their stock IS up 11% right now for today.

THen they are a bunch of fools, a console reveal is NO time to be secretive, E3 is NO time to be secretive. That doesnt even make any sense, not if they are trying to sell their machine to people and its the most expensive one to boot. Need to see to understand? Most people are not trying to hear that noise, they want to see what the machine can do off the bat. If MS couldnt show the advantages of the "cloud" and DRM. Then either a, they are a bunch of fools that didnt know what they were doing or b, there were no advantages and they were treading water hoping people would just go along. I think its a combo of both leaning more toward b

The system isn't even released yet. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe the cloud is something that some devs are still working on atm and that they didn't have anything to display it, and that the always-on requirement needs to be there off-the-bat, regardless?

Pre-launch is always a time of secrecy. What are the 20 1st-party PS exclusives to come, do you know them? You don't.

well when youre constantly dealing with negatives its hard for positives to get traction.  but the biggest question what really going on with xbox one.  are they having yield issues.   they still havent announced a date.  will it be released this november?
