Good for Zynga and MS imo. Although him leaving kind of shows that he was not in great standing at MS.

| endimion said: not a lot of people since there isn't a lot of people already aware of anything about PS4 or XB1 do you really think the 100millions of gamers out there are all like us following game news 5month prior launch.... people are mostly not that involved... the main reason they turned around was a combination of things but mostly gamestop blocking pre sales which meant a huge hit on there launch.... their partnership with retail is more valuable than any bitching from the tiny hardcore game news followers.... that's the main reason we will not see any more changes even if people are still bitching at other things like kinect..... |
gamestop was letting people preorder since it was revealed prior to e3, when we knew about DRM why would they all of a sudden stop? that makes no sense.
preorders are what made them change, they were getting slaugtered like 6-1, and who do you think preorders consoles? gamers, so yes the "bitching" had something to do with it. money talks and gamers backed up their bitching by not supporting the company, forcing said company to make changes.

Dunno about that i do know MS are having a management reshuffle and it would of been quite easy for them to say your role is now redundant, you might want to start looking elsewhere. He really could not of done a worse job over seeing the Xbox One launch and policies. |
All things considered Mattrick wasn't one of the guys in trouble. Pachter was saying he would be leaving before the Xbox reveal, again. Watch Pach Attack...he admitted it and was right...well half right. His prediction was that he was going to EA.

More like 99% right, then: EA, Zynga, train wrecks, if there are any differences, they're quite thin...
