Forums - Movies & TV - I will pay more money for a non-3D movie when watching it in theaters

I agree with this post. I'm not really big on watching a movie in 3-D,.but sometimes that's all they offer. Other times, that's all I have time to watch.

I saw Avatar with a group years ago in 3D. Was not impressed by film or the effect and never saw another 3D film again. The odd part is everyone I know agrees it is worse and would never pay more for it. Yet, every time a major release comes out it is in 3D as well. Someone out there likes it, but I have never met them.

Just saw World War Z and while the movie was great, the 3D was not...

3D in theaters offers a darker screen since you're only getting half of the light to each eye, its out of focus unless you get good seats right in the middle and is absolutely not necessary for a movie like World war Z.

3D for gaming still has some merit and some movies do benefit from it, but why do over 50% of movies today have to utilize tacked on 3D I have no idea...

When is this 3D fad going to die? I've been fooling around with 3D since 2008 and at this point I will at this point pay a higher movie ticket premium to avoid 3D at all cost.

3d for gaming is pretty much dead no?

3ds? currently sold 32m......

man im probably one of the rare person here who think 3d movie here gives extra experience...
it is not really a fad since they continuously bank in good money... it is becoming a standard esp when it is a big budget film....

i thought avatar was a good movie in imax 3d
but it is sooo unwatchable on a non 3d format... i think that movie is all about visuals...

Looking at his posts, It all reeks of viral marketing... Ive never seen anyone praise 3d like this with mostly incorrect information.

He's been doing it for ages as well.  The most frustrating part is when you call him out on it he'll just post the exact same wrong information a few days later.  You'd think he'd just stick to the dishonest, but not factually incorrect claims like 3DTV sales increasing.  Of course he likes to paint it as 2D being dead despite the sales still being far ahead of 3DTV's.

I would say he's a viral marketer too, but I can't imagine anyone actually paying for those posts.

I agree with Kaizar.

You should all go out and buy a 3D-enabled PS3 and a 3DTV.

so what, you really think it sold 32 million because of the 3d lol, it's just an other feature now it's no longer the main feature like it was supose to be before launch

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

You make no fucking sense, first you say 3D for gaming is not dead because of the 3DS, I point to you that it's not an important feature anymore therefore 3D gaming is pretty much dead then you agree with me wtf, I mean when was the last time you saw a game get praised because the 3D made it much better, nintendo could remove the 3D from the 3ds and it wouldn't hurt them much

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

i hate 3D purely because the picture is so dark. its very annoying

Just get a Nintendo 3DS XL & a active 3D glasses 3D TV and the picture will only get brighter when you turn 3D ON.

There, problem solved.

why would i waist money buying a 3D TV when 3D sucks? people who buy 3D TVS where you need to wear glasses are stupid.
