64 for sure. Probably because I didn't play Ocarina until several years later.

I switched consoles with my friend for a couple of weeks back in 1999. I borrowed his N64 with OOT and Mario 64, I gave him my PSone with FFVII. I played OOT and beat it, amazing, magical game. I didn't care for Mario.
Mario for sure. This game brought me into gaming, I loved it with such a passion, never felt this way with a video game before.
Also I didn't have OoT back then, I saw it sometimes at my cousins house and it looked amazing to me.
Mario.
I never got into Zelda but I like watching people speed-run it; Ocarina is very well made.
Mario 64 is the 2nd best Mario game of all time and Ocarina of Time is one of the best games of all time. Zelda it is!

I played 64 around the time it released. I played Ocarina around 4-5 years ago.

Yes, but it's via some serious warp glitches.
The no-major-skips Any% format is 2hrs 11mins, and 100% is 4hrs 49mins. Both of those are a better measure of how fast the game can be played.
I was a really young kid at the time, and playing Mario 64 on launch day literally felt like magic after the Super NES I'd been used to. I played Zelda soon after it came out, too, and thought it was also awesome, but Mario just blew me away.

Jeez! If you would have waited another year or so you could have just played the 3DS version and called it a day. |
I'm planning on getting the 3DS version soon actually lol
