What game is the best of 2000?

Perfect Dark 10 4.46%

Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn 13 5.80%

Deus Ex 16 7.14%

Final Fantasy IX 33 14.73%

Skies of Arcadia 7 3.13%

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 62 27.68%

Banjo-Tooie 6 2.68%

Pokemon Gold/Silver 29 12.95%

Chrono Cross 7 3.13%

Shenmue 41 18.30%

Total:224

It has to be Deus Ex. That game was revolutionary in so many ways. If Ocarina of Time was released that year, it would get my vote, but Deus Ex was the first game to nail a proper RPG and fuse it with a FPS perspective.

Banjo Tooie, one of the 5th gen's best games.

I really like Majora's Mask,I still play it. I love the dark setting of the game and the thing of the masks. I don't really have problems with the time limit because you can make the time run slower with the inverse song of time. The only thing I don't like of the game is that it only has 4 dungeons and the only really amazing one is the last one (the stone tower temple). I liked the sidequests, too, some of them had very good stories.

I said Skies of Arcadia... but I should have said Shenmue!

I just remembered how awesome that game was.

Shenmue for me closely followed by Skies of Arcadia.

FF9, Chrono Cross, and Perfect Dark are three of the most overrated games of all time. Square and Rare were fantastic developers, but not everything they released was gold.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Wow the Dreamcast was owned by more people (of this site) than I thought o:

I thought Chrono Cross was underrated.

FF9 is a wonderful game but those random encounters made me rage quit, and same happened with FF6 and FF7 -_-

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Skies of Arcadia, Pokemon G/S.

A lot of good games released this year, but I had to vote Pokemon because I beat it more then once, and beat the remake not too long ago. Majora's Mask was also excellent.

Sadly, while I own Shenmue, Chrono Cross, FFIX, and Skies of Arcadia, I haven't played either for over 3 hours. Looking forward to Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger is my favorite RPG, and those graphics hold up will 13 years later.
