Should see the 9060XT in Australia in about 22 hours give or take, if the June 5th release date holds up.

But with a 35% improvement over the 7600XT, which in turn had something like a 5-10%% increase over the 6600XT, not sure if the return on investment will warrant the price until reviews drop... Not great improvements for 4 years of evolution.
For me the deal breaker will be RT performance if it is still inferior to the 7800XT, that likely decides my purchase.

Not having the 9070XT on Steam hardware survey is likely alluding to the lack of GPU's actually being used for gaming, they are definitely selling, hence the inflating price as time goes on.

GeForce RTX 5060 Ti appears on Steam Hardware Survey list before Radeon RX 9070 series

https://videocardz.com/newz/geforce-rtx-5060-ti-appears-on-steam-hardware-survey-list-before-radeon-rx-9070-series

So RTX 5070 and 5060Ti are on the Steam hardware survey but the RX 9070 and 9070 XT are not. So much for the AMD is gaining a lot of market share idea.

Some things worth to keep in mind:

1) It's easy to win marketshare when you actual presence in the market is very small. Going from, as an example, 10 to a 15% share is a big increase, but it still pales in comparison with what Nvidia has.

2) The huge wins in marketshare came, if I remember correctly, from Japan, where the AMD employees there said so and also made fun of themselvs. "We're not used to selling os many GPUs" was one of the quotes from that discussion.

3) The Steam survery, while very welcome and useful in some ways, leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to track AMD GPUs. It's something that we've talked about several times over at Conina's Monthly Steam hardware survey thread.

GN's review of the 5060 is out:

Tl;dw: Waste of sand.

Also, he mentioned several times to not buy it and wait for the 9060XT reviews coming out in 2 days, so I'm pretty confident he has the numbers already and they're crushing the 5060, but can't legally say so yet.

The cards go on sale on Thursday, but I think reviews will be up one day earlier. So yeah, they very much have the numbers.

And it's easy to understand why the 5060 isn't worth it. At the same price as the 8GB 9060XT, both are limited by their memory capacity, but the AMD card will have a more powerful die in it so, when the amount of VRAM isn't a problem, it should be a fair bit faster than the Nvidia card.

Also worth noting is that on the Steam Survey AMD currently has a market share of 17.6%, which is it's highest market share in years.

And then there's the problem of the Steam Survey not always allocating AMD GPUs properly. AMD has 3 different AMD Radeon Graphics stacks in the charts, which are pretty non-descript. At least one of them is expected to actually be the missing Radeon 7000 and potentially also 9000 series GPUs. And even when they show up, they don't always do so in the correct manner: the 7800XT for instance isn't recognized by the Steam Survey as a DX 12 GPU and instead gets grouped as a DX8 GPU - hence why DX8 GPUs are growing bigger and bigger in percentage...

Over three years ago I ordered a fiber optic internet connection (1,000 Mbps)... this week it was FINALLY activated!

Yesterday I tested it wireless (the router is in the first floor, my main PC is in the second floor):

Today I connected the PC and router with a 10-meter ethernet cable (temporarily laid through the two windows):

I'm still not sure if the additional speed is worth drilling through the floor to lay a permanent ethernet cable from 2nd to 1st floor.

Currently 500+ Mbps is fast enough for me and in a few years I could upgrade the Wi-Fi-6 router to a Wi-Fi-7 router with 6 GHz compatibility.

Radeon won't gain significant market share with one off good generations. Especially considering the msrps they stated this generations seems to be limited to an initial batch of rebates and then goes up. They needed a reference design to anchor the prices so they are stable.

Really what needs to happen is similar to what happened with Amd vs Intel. Amd continued to provide great products at reasonable prices while Intel started to provide subpar products for dumb prices. Eventually Intel's downfall in the consumer space started with 11th gen while Ryzen 5000 and especially 5800x3d changed the perception of Ryzen from a value brand to a performance brand for gaming.

Blackwell is the first time in a long time Nvidia had this many fuck ups and Radeon had so little fuck ups. But remember how many fuckups RDNA3 had? A lot of issues. RDNA 2 was good but RDNA 1 had issues. Etc.

So if Nvidia continues to have issues with future gpu launches and Radeon continues to have little to none, then eventually... many years later I can see the tides turning.

It took three years? That seems awfully long. In any case, congratulations for finally getting it.

Indeed. Things rarely change oernight, and it will take several wins for AMD and a similar amount of loses for Nvidia to see noticeable changes.

We can't forget that many people associates Nvidia with GPUs, and it will take a while to change that perception. Like with Intel.

I guess the way Nvidia will handle the Super refreshes will show us if the launch of Blackwell was a one time thing or if it's the new attitude we should expect from them.

Hardware Unboxed as well:

TLDR.

* Uses more power than the 5060Ti 16GB.
* Slower than the 5060Ti 16GB.

Seems (Which I suspected orior to release) AMD threw out efficiency to drive up clockspeeds to try and be competitive.

Seems 32CU's is just not enough for the mid-range anymore and AMD needed a larger die... Having 33% less bandwidth didn't help either.

Looking at about a doubling of performance over my 6600XT which was about a doubling of performance over the old RX580...

NVIDIA releases GeForce Hotfix 576.66 drivers fixing crashes and bugs in several games
https://videocardz.com/pixel/nvidia-releases-geforce-hotfix-576-66-drivers-fixing-crashes-and-bugs-in-several-games
We got used to seeing NVIDIA releasing hotfix drivers more frequenlty than before, but this release does not appear to be a major one. It does not focus on hardware crashes or fixes, rather it focuses on game related problems.
NVIDIA has rolled out GeForce Hotfix 576.66, which is built on the recent Game Ready Driver 576.52. This update targets specific stability and display issues affecting recent games and RTX 50 series GPUs. Among the fixes, players of Dune: Awakening, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and EA Sports FC 25 should see improved stability, as NVIDIA has resolved reported crashes tied to these titles.
The hotfix also addresses visual anomalies on RTX 50 series cards. In Dragon’s Dogma 2, shadow flickering has been corrected, while a separate issue causing brief red or green flash corruption during video playback in web browsers has also been fixed, according to the changelog:

Epic cops to the Epic Games Store sucking for the 2nd time in a month as it proudly announces its money-hose has spaffed over $2 billion
https://www.pcgamer.com/software/platforms/epic-cops-to-the-epic-games-store-sucking-for-the-2nd-time-in-a-month-as-it-proudly-announces-its-money-hose-has-spaffed-over-usd2-billion/
I'm beginning to think poor Epic is developing some sort of complex. Nary a month after CEO Tim Sweeney took to the airwaves to admit that, yeah, the Epic Games Store sure is clunky, the store's general manager Steve Allison has taken to the stage (via GamesRadar) at yesterday's Unreal Fest to admit that "even after years of building the store on PC, we know there's still a ton of work to be done to deliver a world-class experience."
(...)
Still, Epic's forays into digital distribution are working out for some people: game studios. Epic says it's paid out over $2 billion to devs and publishers, all while giving the likes of you and me a bajillion free games I will probably never remember to actually play. Still, it's good to know they're there.

How to watch the PC Gaming Show 2025
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/events-conferences/how-to-watch-the-pc-gaming-show-2025/
It's Summer Geoff Fest season, folks, and you know what that means: time for a concentrated jet of videogame news so intense it could strip the enamel off porcelain. And nowhere is that news more exciting, intriguing, and relentlessly PC-oriented than at the PC Gaming Show 2025, airing this Sunday, June 8.

You won't have to rely on co-ordinates to track down your friends in Minecraft thanks to its upcoming drop

Minecraft has shared more details on what is coming in its second drop for 2025 in a post on the official blog, including its title—Chase the Skies. But, as excited as I am to take a trip aboard a Happy Ghast and appreciate the beauty of the world thanks to the Vibrant Visuals overhaul, one feature that I am thrilled the game is receiving as part of the update is the player locator bar.

Umurangi Generation wasn't just a stylish cyberpunk photography sim. It was a meditation on climate disaster, an indictment of global capitalist hegemony—the kind of game that makes it a little surprising when you hear that developer Origame Digital's next project is called Penguin Colony, which involves playing as penguins with different abilities.

The chocolate box of exotic gear that comes with a new Destiny 2 expansion is always one of the biggest reasons to log back in. With The Edge of Fate expansion, which launches on July 15, the slate of new supercharged weapons and unique armour pieces feels particularly fresh—including one item, Melas Panoplia, which enables an ability that has been requested by Titan mains for years.

Just over a year after the release of its debut game Tales of Kenzera: Zau, Surgent Studios has unveiled its next project, and I don't know what I expected but it definitely wasn't this. Dead Take is a first-person psychological horror game the studio says "will peel back the entertainment industry’s glittering facade to expose its darkest secrets."
