Tuesday gaming news. Part two:
Arc Raiders' Flashpoint update finally streamlines crafting—oh, and you can also supercharge Scrappy using food because that just makes sense

While the Shrouded Sky update added the Controlled Access Zone, and the Firefly and Comet machines, Arc Raiders' new Flashpoint update might just be more exciting. It's only got four basic bullet points on the roadmap compared to Shrouded Sky's six, but don't let that fool you.
Too Many F*cking Nazis is the name of a new Steam FPS, and coincidentally an accurate description of its Steam community forums

The phrase "Too Many F*cking Nazis" strikes me as a perfect counting prompt for our little tykes getting their first exposure to mathematics. Can you count to one? If so, good job! You've correctly identified how many Nazis is Too Many F*cking Nazis—and also inadvertently learned the name of this year's most on-the-nose FPS, which was announced on Steam last week.
Remember when Mastercard pressured Steam to remove a bunch of NSFW games? The FTC says that's not cool—sort of

The US Federal Trade Commission has sent letters to the CEOs of Mastercard,Visa, PayPal, and Stripe, raising concerns about "financial services companies denying their customers access to services due to their political or religious views," and warning that they could face investigations and "potential enforcement action" if they're found to be doing so.
Peak's new update gives you the keys to the climb with a suite of custom settings, including the option to turn on 'Grapple Mode (Stupid)'

Here's my problem with Peak: I love the climb as much as the next person, but I don't have the patience for waiting out the snow storm or hiding until the wind settles. Reaching the top of the mountain is hard enough without the elements themselves fighting you. And that's why I'll be turning those off in Peak's new "Play It Your Way Update".
Nothing is off the table when it comes to the custom settings the developers of Peak have delivered in today's update. Dangers such as fall damage, spiders, and even hunger can simply be turned off. Don't trust your friends? Remove the blowgun from the item pool entirely by unchecking the box. Trust your friends a little too much? Leave the blowgun as the only item available and see which one of you isn't invited to the next hangout.
Inzoi Studio head says early access was unavoidable, but he feels kind of bad about it: 'The users are testing it on our behalf, so I always feel sorry for them'

PC Gamer life simmer Mollie Taylor said last year that Inzoi, the much-hyped Sims-like from Krafton, is a "shallow imitation" of the series that inspired it, and that she's not even sure "it understands what makes those games so special in the first place." Seems like Mollie was pretty much dead on the money with that analysis, as Inzoi Studio head Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim told IGN that making life sim games is tougher than he expected, and "if you asked me if I would turn back time and make it again, I think I would hesitate."
Crimson Desert voice actor says he had to keep pushing to get a cohesive story for Kliff

I'm having a grand old time with Crimson Desert, but one critique I can fully put my weight behind is that the story is, like, whatever—it's not offensively bad, and so often the vibes of individual segments are great and entertaining, but it's just about as disjointed and chaotic as the mechanics are.
And while said mechanics are often charming in their absurd, sprawling nonsense, it's hard to say the same thing for the narrative. Turns out, according to Alec Newman, who voice acted protagonist Kliff, the writing was just as scattershot.
Please excuse my bad English.
