For 60 FPS you could also simply activate VSync, should be even easier.

Vsync makes it 50-55 FPS at times and most of the time 60 FPS except....cutscenes are sluggish for me when I have it on.

When VSync is off - it shows 400-500 FPS but looks smooth lol.

Ah sorry, I didn't see your previous comment about VSync, my bad!

So I can't quite hit 60fps with 3080 in the city when Max settings + Max RT + DLSS Quality mode in Cyberpunk at 3440 x 1440p. OC 3080 gets pretty close though. Game looks fantastic, especially in Ultrawide!

Cyberpunk 2077 has over one million concurrent players on Steam in just a few hours
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/cyberpunk-2077-has-over-one-million-concurrent-players-on-steam-in-just-a-few-hours/
We all knew that Cyberpunk 2077 would be a huge commercial success for CD Projekt RED. And in just a few hours, this latest RPG managed to surpass over one million concurrent players on Steam. Moreover, Cyberpunk 2077 is the first single-player game to reach concurrent 1 million players on Steam. And again, this is just in three hours.
To put things into perspective, only three games have surpassed Cyberpunk 2077. These are PUBG, CSGO and DOTA 2. PUBG’s record was 3.25 million players, CSGO’s record was 1.3 million players and DOTA 2’s record was 1.29 million players.
>> At least it managed to break the record for bandwidth used on Steam, 23.5 terabytes per second.

GOG has a new release and no, I'm not talking about Cyberpunk 2077. It's Unto The End, that launches with a 20% discount until December 16: https://www.gog.com/game/unto_the_end

Steam has two new daily deals and a new sale:

NVIDIA GeForce 460.79 WHQL driver released, optimized for Cyberpunk 2077
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nvidia-geforce-460-79-whql-driver-released-optimized-for-cyberpunk-2077/
NVIDIA has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. According to the release notes, the NVIDIA GeForce 460.79 WHQL driver provides the ultimate gaming experience for Cyberpunk 2077. In addition, this driver provides optimal day-1 support for the official launch of Minecraft with RTX for Windows 10.
This driver also adds two new features. These are Background Application Max Frame Rate Control and Color Accuracy Mode.
Naturally, the NVIDIA GeForce 460.79 WHQL driver also packs a number of fixes. For instance, it fixes some crashes that could occur in MPC-HC when playing 1088 pixel-width videos. It also prevents the color format to switch from RGB to ycbcr422 when setting the refresh rate higher than 100Hz.

Steam shows your 'perfect games' now, experiments with 'open bazaar' approach to browsing
https://www.pcgamer.com/steam-shows-your-perfect-games-now-experiments-with-open-bazaar-approach-to-browsing/
Head to the games section of your profile on Steam and you'll find a new tab for Perfect Games. It lists any games you've collected every single achievement for. There's apparently an upgrade in the works for the achievement showcases you can add to your profile, with new ways to spruce them up coming to the points shop. This seems like a step toward that—letting you know which games you've "platinumed" as PlayStation owners say, so you can put them in a shiny digital display cabinet once those go on sale.
>> I don't know if I have achieved that in any game.

Valve's made Cyberpunk 2077 playable on Linux
https://www.pcgamer.com/valves-made-cyberpunk-2077-playable-on-linux/
Among Valve's many, many projects is Proton, a piece of software that acts as a compatibility layer, allowing Windows games to run on Linux operating systems. Originally launched in 2018, Proton integrates with Steam and makes playing supported titles on Linux as simple as pressing 'play.'
Valve coder Pierre-Loup Giffrais last night announced that, thanks to CDPR providing early access to the game, the latest Proton build 5.13-4 will now let you run Cyberpunk 2077.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

Unofficial Modding Tools released for Cyberpunk 2077
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/unofficial-modding-tools-released-for-cyberpunk-2077/
Cyberpunk 2077 has just been released on the PC, and modder ‘rfuzzo’ has released some unofficial modding tools for it. This initial version of these modding tools support extracting and decompression of archive files. Furthermore, this release also contains an experimental and WIP file-viewer.
What this basically means is that you can now decompress and extract the game’s files. Obviously, this will open a lot of modding possibilities. And yes, a nude mod will certainly appear in the next few days. For what it’s worth, there is an Adult Nude Icons mod that you can download right now.
>> You'll find them at Nexus Mods.

Here's a Cyberpunk 2077 problem you can fix right now
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-a-cyberpunk-2077-problem-you-can-fix-right-now/
Over at Nexus Mods, the Cyberpunk 2077 mod hub has gone live. There isn't much there yet (obviously, the game has just been released), but a few things have been uploaded already, including a highly specific fix by user kostas96b. It doesn't squash the game's many bugs, but it does fix a minor but frustrating problem: the resolution of the game's Steam desktop shortcut.
Chances are CD Projekt Red will fix this itself in a future update, but if you're struggling with that blurry icon stinking up your desktop right now, this mod will stop your eye twitching. As someone who loves a clean, tidy desktop, this kind of thing massively appeals to me.

I didnt see a Frame limit option like in some other games, may have to take a look at the game's .ini file if that is available to see if I can manually input it to 60.

You can also limit the fps through the control panel of both Nvidia and AMD (you need to have Chill installed for AMD, tho). It's easier than doing it with the .ini files.

Yeah, it's much easier to use the GPU driver limiters.

The Nvidia control panel allows 1-fps-steps and you can activate a second limiter for background tasks. Currently I'm using 160 fps for games in fullscreen or active window and 100 fps for games in background windows on my 165 Hz Gsync-display.

I'm pretty stumped with the options on CP2077 tbh. I've gone from Ultra to low on all, and honestly, the performance isn't any better, even with a fresh clean install of the latest NV driver. Feels like the game just wasn't ready for launch.

If only they had delayed the game.

Gotta say I'm disappointed in them. Not just due to the state of the game at release, but the fact that they've made a name for themselves proving AAA developers wrong and making fun of the industry and its various, terrible practices, with the release of unfinished games being among these.

My decision to wait about six months or so seems to have been a good one.

Was any of The Witcher games not buggy at launch? I don't see why this one would have been different.

Also:

I wonder what they could be for...
