Now if they were to release a new Silent Hill game that was rumoured.... they might get some brownie points back, maybe just a bit after killing MGS and Castlevania among so many other franchises they are sitting on.

It's just branding but I like it. As soon as I saw it, big little came to mind. It should be memorable with consumers.

Though I'd say AMD Ryzen and Epyc branding is still better and remains feeling new and lively.

What came to my mind was Gateway, not big.LITTLE. 

Indeed. Raw bandwidth they still loose out.
However there is more under the hood... Delta Colour Compression wasn't a thing on the base Xbox One and Playstation 4, nor was primitive discard and draw stream binning rasterization. (I.E. Tiled based rendering.)

Thus the raw bandwidth spec numbers don't tell the entire story.

Dual-channel DDR4 3200mhz can offer 51.2GB/s and Delta Colour Compression in Polaris (Vega being able to match) alone can provide an additional 38% bringing it to 70.6GB/s.

That puts it above the Xbox One when just accounting for raw bandwidth and DCC.

Once you start pushing past that 1080P barrier though, bandwidth limitations will quickly come into play and hold back fillrates, under that it is less of an issue.

MechWarrior and MechCommander fans, here is something special for you today. A team of modders has released a must-have mod for MechWarrior 5, Mechcommander: Mercenaries. Mechcommander: Mercenaries basically turns MechWarrior 5 into a real-time strategy game.
Players will be able to select and issue orders to their lance and other friendly units throughout Mechwarrior 5’s campaign mode. As the team noted, phase 1 of the project is a limited RTS experience that works with most of the base game’s story missions and procedurally generated levels. Additional RTS features, features from previous Mechcommander titles, and compatibility with Instant Action and Co-op will be added later. (...) Since this is a beta release, this mod has some issues. For instance, there is no option to change keybinding (though the team aims to add one). Furthermore, the Tutorial mission in campaign does not work with this mod. Also, the minimap will sometimes fail to load the base map, and the mnimap icons are missing or are all black.

Looks to be the Crysis of this gen jeez. Brings 2080Ti + 3900X to it's knees at 4k. Overall looks to be Intel + Nvidia favoured. This is still in beta so there could be performance improvements on release. They will apparently add even more visual enhancements such as ray tracing and this is probably the first implementation of the "cloud" that actually makes sense. It is very scalable on both GPU and CPU though.
