No MP, no buy.

Just kidding, amazing game. My GOTY so far.

There are atleast a dozen games I could list with sales that deserve far better just off the top of my head, games like Yakuza 3 and 4, Valkyria Chronicles, The Saboteur, Dante's Inferno, etc. Great games unfortunately get passed on because people are more interested in shooters this gen than anything else.

Bioshock Infinite, as great as it may or may not be, if it didn't have elements of a FPS, I'm sure it'd do just as bad as many other games that failed to sell very well. No matter how good the game is, being a shooter usually means your game is going to sell more than it would have if it wasn't a shooter. A good example is Sniper Ghost Warrior, which is apparently a terrible game, ugly graphics, sitting with a pretty large number of sales for the first game.

Well what about games like Fire Emblem?

It released at the very end of a historically-long console generation. Software sales dry up at the end of console lifespans, it's just the way the industry works.

Had Infinite released over the holiday, or perhaps a year ago, sales would surely have been higher.

Also, we're not including digital sales here, which account for more of a percentage of total sales than ever before. Probably several hundred thousand downloads on Steam, Amazon digital, etc.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

I really think that is because people that played it spread the word that the game is not that great; and so; other people did not bothered in buying it.

I am one of those saying the game is not that great.

Delievery counts, so they made their money.

But still, I did not like it very much either.

The shooter-mechanics are just solid and far away from e.g. Battlefield 3. I think it´s too "arcadey"...

And honestly, i think that the controls does not have any "grip". It rather feels like you´re controlling a camera that runs through Columbia than a playable individual. It´s hard to describe...

One example, the engine does not allow you to climp over fences -_-

The story is great, though...

Yea, i felt wrong playing with a controller. I had to lower the sensitivity by a lot.

Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

^ Metro: Last Light deserves the sales, and it don't reach the numbers of those games you've mentioned.

And on top of that, it's a FPS. So your FPS-sales logic don't apply here.

Maybe the word of mouth wasn't that good then, huh.

Metro Last Light is okay, some major texture issues, AI problems, and the story went way down hill about 2/3rds to 3/4ths the way through. Personally Metro 2033 was much better in my opinion. I would like to see a bundle with both that would boost sales some.
