I'm a little disappointed by the look of the game. Its a bit too Borderlands, but I can see Destiny being huge.

Seeing trailers and gameplay brings me to the conclusion that Bungie is using a lot of their expertise and assets from Halo 1 to Reach and I kind of like that. The animations look a bit similar which is a plus because you know directly that this is a bungie game, characters has that Halo feeling and I Think Hirschberg is spot on when he says "Everyone who loves Halo will love this" because it seriously got that Bungie feeling of awsomeness.
I Think there is no doubt that they will break even with this game, the game is going to sell masses on the Xbox platforms and the exclusive dlc for PS will help the sales on that platform so I definitely Think this will be a huge title next year
Well if they truly believe in the IP then they should not worry about Destiny making a profit, they should be making sure maximum penetration on all platforms which means marketing the crap out of it. If they break even with Destiny because they've invested heavily in its success then it means a multi-game multi-generational successful franchise which will make big profits for years to come.

People, for a game with MMO features, content speaks louder than graphics. So if Destiny brings high quality content plus high quality expansions. The game will be huge and good.
Glad that they are considering a PC version, if this is anything like Borderland I'm so in.

Have mixed feelings about this game after E3. The first half of the trailer was boring but that might have been more due to the people they chose to play the game. The boss fight at the end was very interesting though if players can always seemlessly connect to one another. I wonder what the maximum players at any time will be.
The loot is another issue. Imo loot makes any singleplayer/cooperative multiplayer game better by default. There are few things more satisfying then getting some awsome loot. But it will make the competitive multiplayer hard to balance. I don't see how it can be balanced pre endgame, unless the community is huge, and the game has very good legs.
Activision certainly has done a good job at marketing the game. Its past three trailers on youtube all have over 5million views and the game isn't coming out till 2014. The latest one got those 5mil views in just a week. I don't think I've ever seen this much interest for a game that is so far away from releasing let alone a new ip.It is the second most wished for game for the xbox one and for the ps4 on amazon despite not even being a launch year game.
Didn't LA Noire cost more than 100 mill. Is destiny's budget more than 100 mill?
It sure is.
Along with Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, Shenmue and Too Human (could be more).

I don't think it was their decision do leave Halo. Microsoft formed 343 to take care of Halo games, or at least its main job.
