That's what I've been telling people. It is inaccurate to use the Wii U for a number of reasons. Most people see the Wii U an an extension of the current gen and not a leap, so it is reasonable to see why the sales were not spectacular (plus the added feature was not special). Mostly the hardcore Nintendo people were the ones who suggested this though, so it's no surprise.

you said you thought the VGCz  were hard to believe.

..i was merely saying its hard to draw meaningful comparisons because VGCz pre-order are for the US and i'm pretty sure amazon would report their WW numbers.  that and the 2500 per minute doesn't mean much because in all likelyhood that peak last for 1 minute.

This is good news and on top of this I remember BenV saying this holiday is going to be huge for the gaming industry based on numbers at Gamestop.

Yeah, I do believe a lot of over optimistic Nintendo fans like to think the games will sell the system. But, they seem to look to the Wii as an example, and not the GameCube or N64. As of now the Wii U is selling slower than the 360's first year which is pretty bad. Even a lot of quality Nintendo games historically does not lead to Wii level craze. So yeah, my thoughts are pretty closely aligned with yours.

Is there a specific thread or site you have that shows this? I see so many preorder threads it is hard to find one really worth reading.
