@walsufnir
Huh I don't understand your comment. The shared games thing doesn't matter anymore so there is no reason to talk about whether it was a full fledged sharing program or a demo. Personally I don't care because I was getting an Xbox for the exclusives so it either way I wasn't affected. I will later also most likely purchase a PS4 for the exclusives on that console as well.

MS always hinted to the 60 min Family Share feature but like everything said by MS was hidden in the confusion. |
holy crap, didnt even think about that.
......but.......but.......
I was told repeatedly how awesome it was going to be and how it was going to save the industry and how it would make the XB1 walk on water and.....

Being at a friends house and letting him try a game has nothing to do with the family share plan. The family share plan was a folder in the cloud that could be used by anyone from your group of 10.

Yeah... for 60 minutes each game.

@aarongreenberg Is it true that the "family sharing" was only demos for like an hour? You weren't actually sharing the full game?

Aaron Greenberg @aarongreenberg
@STX21 No, that was confusing and not true.

Why do people quote this guy as if everything he says is fact? He also said PS4 users would not have to pay to play online. I don't get why they would need to remove this feature if it's just a glorified demo library. |
Exactly. This feature could easily still be used. You're all getting too excited...

Again going to a friends house is not the family share plane. So how is that being linked together? When you go to a friends house and signed in you were pulling the copy that is tied to your account....not from your shared folder.
And no those articles you posted says nothing about a 1 hour time limit to play before they have to buy. What it does says they get 1 hour before they have to check in online.
These are quotes staright from your links.
But wait, there’s more. Those gamers that happen to be using a friend’s Xbox One console will only be allotted 1 hour of playtime before they must hop online. Clearly, they trust gamers more when they’re on their home console.
Access your entire games library from any Xbox One—no discs required: After signing in and installing, you can play any of your games from any Xbox One because a digital copy of your game is stored on your console and in the cloud. So, for example, while you are logged in at your friend’s house, you can play your games.
Players will be able to access their library from other consoles. "After signing in and installing, you can play any of your games from any Xbox One because a digital copy of your game is stored on your console and in the cloud. So, for example, while you are logged in at your friend’s house, you can play your games."
No mention of anyone having a trial version of the game. The only mention of it was 60 minutes offline play until you have to do a check in online.
