sounds pretty logic to me tbh
@aarongreenberg Is it true that the "family sharing" was only demos for like an hour? You weren't actually sharing the full game?
Yeah didn't think they would let 10 people play 1 game.... Too good to be true I suppose
Let's be honest most sensible people already considered there was no way they were going to allow 1 person to share a full game with 10 other people. Publishers would not allow that, and it would do just as much harm to game sales as the retails trade in... didnt make any sense at all.
I'm still shocked that people believed that to be honest. Slightly embarrassed for them.

but you trust a random guy just because he started with "i worked on this project" even when the post looks like it was written to let the only thing people really liked look like shit and even when you know that there are thousands of fanboys who would do everything to let "their enemy" look bad. seems legit. btw aaron greenberg isn't just a pr guy |

He can say that now in total safety, even if it's a lie, because they are not implementing it so no one from the general public will ever know the truth of what they intended. So I doubt his word.
Perhaps later on they will implement it as greenberg describes for games bought off XBL, but I doubt it'll be 10 people. Given XB1 is going back to the old ways publishers are not going to be happy with 10 people being able to play a game without paying a dime for it (except to MS for XBL Gold).
PS3 already effectively has family share for PSN games (including digital version of full retail games) and publishers didn't like it when it was set to 5 consoles with access to the game. No way publishers are going to let a DRM-less XB1 have 10.

what did they leak? the guy wrote that to let people read it.
the first thing i thought when i read that was "nice story" because it looked too obvious to me. the guy who wrote that did absolutely know that the family sharing stuff would look horrible to people and that this will go around the internet.
Honestly, there's no way to know if the Microsoft guy is lying or not as whatever family share is is not happening. Saying that, it doesn't actually matter what it is. I have an opinion on what it was or wasn't but, again, it doesn't matter. I'm just glad that drm is now gone so it looks like nobody will have to worry with the complicated mess this generation.

Some people now look very silly in this thread, loving the denial.
