Forums - Microsoft - CONFIRMED: Xbox One drops restrictions and DRM

We are also designing it so you can play games and watch Blu-ray movies and live TV if you lose your connection.

It's just that simple.

Now I don't feel stupid for not finding the part that says MS dropped the once a day DRM.

Nothing looks changed in what you posted.

That's what it always said. You can play offline for up to 24-hours.

Yeah they are designing, looking for news ways to do things, trying etc. etc.

So only promises changed?

The update says the faq is outdated and will be updated shortly, so a reversal of policies, lets wait for it :D

What i am finding strange is lots of people confirming it and then linking to the page that doesnt haven anything on it...

But everyone looks pretty convinced this is happening (all major news sites etc)....

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

I wouldn't say anything is confirmed until it is confirmed. We don't know what exactly has changed other then what a rumor stated. Hoping for the best though.

It's a huge win for gamers, if true.

link doesn't work? maybe too many people on the internet who want to read that no internet is needed anymore

€dit: also great if interent will be still needed "hey, our servers died today, you should hope that this will never happen with xbox one"
