Forums - Gaming - PS4 Grabs 95% Of Consumer Votes After Amazon Ends Poll Early

Stop the bullshit.

Yes this is bad sign because it means that most people using the Internet (some of them being smarter or more stupid, so I can't imagine for people not using the Internet) root for the PS4.

Including lots of people who were Xbox 360 people and other who didn't have a PS3 or 2 or whatever. Because people are not reactif to consoe they're reacting to Microsoft policy and their attack on consumer rights.

Lol.

The Xbox one is a failure before it is even released. Maybe Microsoft will redesign the console to be more user friendly.

Ron Paul used to win online presidential straw polls with like 95% of the vote. How did that actually work out for him in reality?

So game consoles are politcal now???

If you've paid any attention to the industry for the past 20+ years now, yes.

I've paid attention to the industry since 1977, and most all of my gamer friends over the years enjoyed video games regardless of platforms.  We were very enthusiastic about video games, and we always saw past namebrand because it was the games that we wanted to play.  Then again, the true gamer has been more and more of a dying breed.

You'd be the equivalent of those rare "libertarians" in the political world.  For the majority of "core" gamers, they are firmly in camps X, Y or Z, and rarely budge barring a monumental shift in the console landscape, such as SEGA going the way of the dodo in the hardware market.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

MS doesn't have to "redesign" anything. Right now, they've got so much bad press between their online nanny checks, DRM policies, always on Kinect, regulated/limited used game transactions that Sony's decision to make online play a part of paid PSN+ seem like minor news in comparison.

But, MS can take a hit on each unit sold by matching price (and they will take a hit because of Kinect), including a year of XBLG with every SKU (not just pre-orders), loosening up the restrictions on used game sales or the online checks (no bricking of games until you log back in for instance), etc. and the only restriction you're left with is having to use Kinect, which is presumably built into the way the console functions, which is not to say that there isn't a workaround for those who really don't like webcams.

That's their worst case scenario. In all likelihood, they're willing to concede the first year of sales to the PS4 until their larger, long term plan comes into play (which is not to say that it will be any more of a success), and will not budge on any of their poorly received policies. If you don't like it, you can buy an Xbox 360 type responses.

Well according to preorders, there are strong signs of a shift in console landscape which somewhat corroborates the trend originally stated in this thread.  And honestly I'm not quite sure I know what the hell you were talking about or if it's even on topic.

Even the Wii U could have beaten the X1 in a one-on-one contest, because Sony fans would have made sure to vote against Microsoft.

Lol online polls are troll magnets. And as you should know, sony fanboys have a field day with them. They don't mean anything.

Is the PS4 outselling XBO 95:1, no, so what exactly is the point of this poll???

I bet Microsoft got wind of this poll, saw the results and did what they do best, pulled an underground crybaby routine on the amazon execs LOL
