Welcome to the world of parenting. Don't like it, get out of the relationship now. The kid deserves better.

The kid deserves to get whatever he wants? Then what happens when he becomes an adult and realizes you cannot have whatever you want. Even if you become Bill Gates version 2.0.

The kid can't get to play a game he wants because his stepdad is hogging the gaming console for himself. Great ****ing parenting.

Make some sacrifices man, with my nephews and cousins if they want to play my consoles I let them, usually play with them or just grab the iPad. It's what I enjoy doing. When I want it for myself they'll respect my wishes because I've earned their respect.

but playing skylanders giants for six months straight doing the same levels.

I've been playing the same few LEGO games with them for three years. Among other games, of course.

You sound like a monster... seriously. Whats wrong with you? Buy another WiiU or simply let them play, you are a grown man, and if something small like this bothers you, I wonder why in the world would anyone choose you as their partner...

really?  he just sounds like a grown man who wants his gaming time.  I'm all for spending with the kids, but you gotta have me time.  The only thing he really needs in comprimising boundaries.  Another wii-u would help, but the question is will it get played when skylanders dies out?

To put it bluntly, man up. I wouldn't let any sticky little child play any of my games or go within a few feet of my room to begin with.

IN the future once I have a child then sure I'll teach him/her the way.

Well we've been playing for six months, I think the new skylanders keep it fresh for him, so can't seem him getting board anytime soon, if he does then I'm sure we can find other games for him, we like Mario kart but will have to wait awhile for that one, we will get the new 3D Mario and DK also.

Dont buy Disney Infinity when its released lol
I like gaming with my daughter (she likes Wii sports resort) but Lego City Undercover has a lot to answer for. She is obsessed with Chase McCain and has even got into the toy range. Ok its a little hard on the wallet, but the toys are seriously cool and its great fun building them together. :)

Um, that's what kids do. Either tell him no, and get out of the relationship. Complaining on forums will surely help.
