This is why I dont buy digital games from Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo. Physical copies ftw!

New Thread: You can't play your games after your discs rot!

This is why you have Blu Ray. All consoles are running Blu Ray now.

I'm not getting into this topic but ALL media deteriorates over time, Bluray is no different.  Unless you keep your games in a air sealed UV protected safe they will deteriorate eventually.  This is a bonkers reason to not want physical media though.

Disks can rot, but cartridges are forever You just have to replace the battery now and then.

As for Disk Rot, there is a solution....install the physical copy of the game onto your console while you can. There problem solved.

Interesting to see Maximrace hasn't responded to anyone's points in this thread, pretty much proves he knows how wrong and troll-worthy the original post was. I think we can let this thread die now.

I'm not concerned about disk rot, emulation has made huge advance over the last decade.

That too, but we're talking about owning physical media versus digital. Emulation is an arguement against owning physicial, and well....making legal game purchases.
