Forums - Sony - You think PS4 will be hacked day one? Updated!

All consoles get hacked, but unless Sony pisses off the hackers again (which I doubt they will), I dont exect a full system breach with peoples identities being at put at risk. The government got involved in that because the same group was wasnt just hacking Sony either.

We have to differentiate what gets hacked: The console or the servers. I would definitely prefer the console because in this way no personal data is stolen. Anonymous aren't the Robin Hoods out there. It's a bunch of criminals who steal *your* data. It doesn't matter on which server they are, in my opinion. I would rather like to see the console hacked.

It will but not for a few years, (I hope) Plus the size of games are getting crazy. It take fricken ages to download games now! some are over 15 gig.

At full-speed I would have a download lasting 1 hour for 15 gigs. There is no problem in downloading big data, bandwidth increase is still ongoing.

Try living in NZ, we have Data cap and low speeds. I have 8mb/s and thats good compared to what I had before I moved house last week where I was on 3mb/s lol

Would take me a whole day to download 15 gigs

I can imagine your pain... Especially considering the big patches for ps3-games! Man, that has to be disgusting. So Gaikai is also not a service made for you?

who cares? there is the playstation network card. i don't have to input important details. xbone is a much more interesting target to hack due to always online and camera requirement imo.

I think google will speed things up. They are very persistant about google fiber.

Yes, they are, but it's only us. In Germany we have very good internet available (mostly) and we tend to like hacking since ages :)

Germany is way ahead of the US. we need google fiber

I think we all need better internet - for everything!

I think some sort of encryption on the secondary processors of both the PS4 and the X1 will keep hackers from full access for a few years, at least.

Ps3 patches are tiny, plus when you have ps+ you set them to automatic download at 3 in the morning so I havent seen a patch in 2 years. That includes all game patches aswell.

It is true Gaikai will not be something I will be using until Fibre hits my neck of town. (est for my area around 2015)
