PS3 took forever to be hacked what make you think they will hack the PS4 so easily.

It didn't take forever, noone was interested in it. Then Sony removed OtherOS.

sure, none was interested, even thought it was only a few mill behind the 360 and when it did get hack, it's so complicated to hack it and to get games to work on it, barely anybody play pirated games on their ps3 compaired to the wii and 360

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Do you have detailed statistics on how much pirated games are played on the systems? I don't. Measuring torrent-seeds I don't see that 360 has more people playing pirated games than PS3. Also, the 360 isn't hacked - there are possibilities to play pirated games but it is not hacked - the PS3 is, aswell as Wii. But it doesn't make a difference if you just want to play for free.

Also, PS3 was only a soft-hack which could be done entirely in software while you need to fiddle with hardware if you want to play pirated games on 360 (which doesn't make it *really* more complicated, of course).

''Well, now TorrentFreak has listed its top five most pirated games of the year, across three platforms. PC, Wii and Xbox 360? Why no PS3? “The platforms that are not mentioned, such as the PS3, get considerably less downloads and are excluded for that reason.” I’m sure someone will take that as a challenge, but a) Sony’s been very aggressive, to the point of cutting off some of the PS3′s functionality, to combat piracy. And b) those are damn large games on that Blu-Ray disc.''

Nice, thanks for the numbers. Makes 360 software-sales even more impressive. But MS also has an aggressive strategy against piracy but whatever :) The size is also no argument for me - this would mean that nextgen-consoles won't see any piracy, too. Also, it is possible by now to download ps3-games directly via psn-servers so no need to use somebody's traffic - use Sony's traffic :)

Not sure about the bolded, and also this prove that piracy doesn't affect sales that much  after all

Why not sure? It was an argument you quoted but who cares. I wouldn't, my internet is fast.

But of course piracy affects sales - 890k Gow3? This definitely stole sales and it still sold a lot. I think this is even more impressive but of course everything can be interpreted in a bad looking way.

It will but not for a few years, (I hope) Plus the size of games are getting crazy. It take fricken ages to download games now! some are over 15 gig.

At full-speed I would have a download lasting 1 hour for 15 gigs. There is no problem in downloading big data, bandwidth increase is still ongoing.

Yes, they are, but it's only us. In Germany we have very good internet available (mostly) and we tend to like hacking since ages :)
