Forums - Gaming - This gen will have 4 losers

1. Nintendo: Hated by 3rd parties for reasons unexplainable.

2. Microsoft: DRM and rising development cost.

3. Sony: Same as above.

4. Gamers: Fewer ground breaking games due to all of above.

1 on them is definitly Soriku.. he just bought a PS3 and now Kingdom Hearts 3 won't come on it... He probably won't have enough money for a PS4 or X1 till 2020..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I thought it would be

Vita
Xbone
WiiU
EA

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Development costs aren't going to rise as much as before. In fact, they aren't going to change much at all. If a 3rd party wants to put their game on next gen, all they have to do is fiddle with their PC version, it isn't difficult

All I am concerned about is if sales of the PS4 and Xbone aren't enough, then developers might start turning away from consoles all together....

PS how can you contract PS4 and Xbox One? PS360 was so perfect

never any love for PC, its still a gaming platform thanks to steam, not to mention the steambox. i think we might be in for a surprise.

well, I don't think next-gen will have a Wii-like success, toward casual gamers. Smartphones and tablets will own that market. But I think traditional gaming will become even more popular. Will more consoles be sold, don't know, but the industry will remain healthy for sure.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

Don Mattrick, Phil Spencer, Major Nelson and Bill Gates </joke

Where are the Ouya, the stock holders and the publishers ?

Iwata, Reggie, Don Mattrick and Yusuf Mehdi most likely.

You are right on the button with the smarphone thing. It has cut into the gaming business big time.

it certainly explains articles like these

Does that make mobile gaming the winner?
