Forums - Gaming - PS4 has the least amount of exclusives? What happened?

Lol you deliberately missed on so many multiplats which aren't coming to the Wii U.

Ah, now I understand your Wii U haz no mulitplatz thread. The butthurt is strong with this one.

You should probably update this list after Gamescom (the largest games trade show of the year in terms of participants/audience) and TGS. Sony probably want to space out their reveals, especially if their "20 titles in the first year" figure is true.

Sony has announced that not only are there 30 games coming from Sony Worldwide Studios but over 140 games are in development for PS4 over all.

Around 100 will be out in the first year of launch and 40 have exclusive experiences – which probably also includes exclusive DLC...........................yep no games.

LOL. He deliberately missed the point of the thread.

You mean least exclusives shown at E3? Yes, but did they need to show more? Nope. Didn't Sony's announcement of games in development trump Microsoft's number? Something like 30. Correct me if I am wrong on that number. Did you even watch the show at all and listen to the announcement made by the presenters ... or did you simply just count exclusives?

I'm not too concerned at this point. I mean look at how many big PS3 games were getting this year. One thing Sony does well is exclusive 1st party content.

Now things to add:

MS knew they had a bad pre-conference showing, so the best way to go positive (and i dont blame them) is to mention as many games as possible - its a smart move totally. But it might mean there are very few surprises left to give people and its still a long way till the consoles release. Also some of these games are probably not due till next year, i mean we saw no gameplay of a number of these exclusives...

There were rumours Sony was concerned with the amount of games MS were going to show, and were considering showing what their other studios were going to be making. *BUT* I really believe they thought, you know what the whole DRM thing is such a big deal, this will be gamers biggest issue (and to be honest they were right). I think they were nervous about doing such a call (as the rumours suggesting Naughty Dog and others being prepped to present).

There is still Gamescom and TGS to go, and if Sony are going to sell well in Europe and Japan, then you would consider holding back other titles. Don't want to blow it all away in one conference... good gaming news needs to be spread out.

I suspect the two exclusives that MS have left are Kinect based games. They have only done 1 so far, and if you are pushing the idea that Kinect is brilliant, surely you are going to want more games to show that off. It would be surprising if they dont have additional Kinect games in dev.

As for Sony, I really think its possible we will see Uncharted 4, LBP3 (not being made by a Sony Studio) and Whatever MM are making at some other point. I am really not concerned.
