I predict its LTD sales to nearly double by the end of this year.
I further predict that those still won't be particularly impressive numbers.

If Yarn Yoshi were releasing this holiday, why wouldn't it have been in the Nintendo Direct? I'm not sure it's making it out this fall. And I think Retro is working on something else. The video about DKC makes it sound like Retro was working with another group on the title, which leads me to believe that the team was split and the other part of Retro is working on something else (which is probably Metroid, since that's the last of the 'big 3' franchises to appear on the Wii U). I think Wii U Zelda will release 2015. And I agree that Nintendo needs to REALLY market Bayonetta 2 and X. I think X could be a real breakout title if they put some oomph behind it. Xenoblade Chronicles would have sold probably double (if not more) in the US if they'd pressed enough copies or down a second run. Anticipation for that title will be high, and if Nintendo does it right they could have a real nice RPG-exclusive franchise on their hands. Bayonetta 2 will be a big test of the 'core' audience on Wii U, but I think it has a real shot at being successful as well.
Bah!
It is looking really bleak for them right now. They needed Universe and Kart to have a chance at a strong showing this holiday, but they bring out 3D World and DK? This is going to be rough.
Next year is looking better though.

A price cut and it will hold its own.

I saw a rumor that 2014 is the year of Yoshi so I think Yoshi's Island 3DS, Yarn Yoshi and New Super Yoshi U DLC/retail will all show up next year.
I agree about Retro having a second title and probably Metroid slated for late 2014/early 2015
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.
It's a pretty strong lineup indeed, and coupled with the games next year and a price cut, it should be enough to sell well, and even pass the Vita before the end of the year.
A) We don't even know the full lineup yet. Reggie said there is "more to come", IE they didn't talk about everything at E3. We already know more Nintendo Direct videos will be coming in the coming months.
B) Even if THAT'S ALL, then yes, for me, that is more than enough.
Pikmin, Mario, Shovel Knight, Wonderful 101, Sonic, DKC, Watch Dogs, etc.
Yeah. I'm good. My wallet is going to be hurting as it is.
A price cut will be what saves them sales wise but they may have to take a bigger loss per console sold.
Don't forget Call Of Duty Ghosts!
Mark Rubin has confirmed it will come alongside the next-gen versions this fall...
