Haha. Brilliant strategy from Square Enix

1. Announce a title as a ps3 exclusive
2. Wait for all the hype from the people who think it's the best thing ever because it's an exclusive (seriously we had seen close to nothing and people acted as if it was the best thing since slice bread),
3. Change your mind at the last minute and enjoy better sales as a multiplatform title.

I also find it funny how SE was twice part of the ps4 reveal (E3 and the first event), as if they had a special partnership with sony, but nope. Not even timed exclusive or exclusive dlc announced. I mean seriously, what's the point of them being there? At least with Destiny and Assassin's Creed, they're getting something for promoting their games.

At any rate. Great news for gamers. Hopefully 3rd party exclusives will be a thing of the past.

It doesn't make it a problem per se. But asking people to be patient for an exclusive just to make the game multi plat is kinda screwing over the fans.

Also, it moved to Playstation from Nintendo due to size limitations. I don't know if they'll gain much by making these new games multi plat when not much XBox fans care about them.

No your getting the exclusive so it shouldn't be an issue honestly. Also how do you know Xbox fans don't care about them. I'm a fan of the Xbox and I care about kingdom hearts and ff15 and will prob get them for the Xbox one.

If you're a fan you should get the game though I believe, but I understand. There are many games that I've missed out on the PS3, but I'm still planning on getting one. I'm sure alot of PS2 fans went to the 360 when it came out. I still have my PS2 hooked up ready to play and I played my PSP last night. If something dropped on the Vita I'd get it without question. If FF13 didn't go multi plat and stuck with the PS3 the sales would have been just that. Because it was on the 360 it sold a little more well at least in the US anyway lol.

I'm not sure why you guys are even making a big deal out of this. Square is like that girl you took from another guy. You know you shouldn't trust her but you do anyway. Then she cheats on you and forgive her but it's in her nature. Square has shown that money talks for years but fans were convinced it was loyalty to Sony. I'm sure if Nintendo paid them enough back in the day Final Fantasy would've stayed exclusive.

Welp if we're going to have clone consoles since day 1 then I'm just going to ignore them altogether.

And I'd invest that money in other things.

I don't see it as a issue either. And I said 'not much' XBox fans. 

I'm in favor of having multi plat titles so everyone can play. But I think it is not weird that some SE fans might feel betrayed by what they did. They did a classic bait and switch:

-"Get a PS3 and you can play FF Versus XIII. You can only play it there. And look at this video, this game is going to be awesome."

-7 years later: "Get a PS4 or X1 to play it. lol"

 

I for one don't care about it being exclusive or not, as long as I get to play it.
