Why the hell was there no price cut? Are they waiting for Gamescom to try and steal the show from Sony?

The PS4 is the same way.
It isn't two-color. It's a single color, just glossy and matte finishes.

It's smaller than the Xbox 360 S (aka Slim).
Look at the size of the drive slot on both.
I don't like Halo, but this is the console I own. And I find silver the most beautiful colour for the console.
Not as good looking as the slim and no price cut, so for the consumer definitely not more interesting.
But I'm sure it's far cheaper for Microsoft to produce.
So what the hell do a price cut already.
Xbox 360 250GB with Kinect is $400, just as much as a PS4 and only $100 less than the next gen Xbox. They have to announce a price cut at Gamescom.
Totally agree the matte look is better. Glossy consoles only look good when they are brand new once the finish gets scratches the don't look as good no more. Matted consoles are easier to clean and are usually more scratch resistance.
