Fire Emblem for me right now, then Bioshock.

I'd be surprised if TLoU, Watch Dogs, GTA and 3D Mario aren't the main contenders.

Bioshock and The Last of Us are the obvious frontrunners.

I think there is a fair chance GTAV, Watchdogs and Mario U (if it's at 2013 release) will be in the mix as well.

The only answers are Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us.

Personally? Fire Emblem or Ni No Kuni

For now it's definitely between The Last of Us and Bioshock Infinite. Fire Emblem: Awakening has the problem of being niche and on a handheld system. The last handheld game to be nominated for a decent amount of GOTY awards was Super Mario 3D Land, which is the exact opposite of niche, so aside from a few nominations here and there, I don't think it'll make a splash. However, it's an obvious frontrunner for the Handheld Game of the Year award, if not Best 3DS Game Yet.

Those are the only three major releases with 90+ metascore, though there are many good games in the 85-89 range. Future possible contenders include Batman: Arkham Origins, GTAV, Watch_Dogs, A Link to the Past 2, and Infamous: Second Son, to name a few.

I agree with alot of others, Fire Emblem is good enough that I beleive it is a serious contender. Outside of Persona 4 Golden it's the best Portable game i've ever played and one of the best games i've played period.
