Forums - Nintendo - What do you want/expect from Wii U's Windwaker?

There's a big difference between what I want and what I expect.

I expect

WW in HD
Integration of Wii U (such as Miiverse and off screen play)

I want.
A dungeon for the third pearl
Changes to the layout of existing dungeons
Enemies to inflict more damage
The ability to change wind direction whilst sailing without playing the whole tune again.
And perhaps a few new story elements

The triforce quest didnt bother me too much, I quite liked exploring the great sea.

Imagine how cool it would be if you could just draw the wind on the gamepad after obtaining the song, similar to Phantom Hourglass *_*

Well, they're most likely just going to make a carbon copy of the game and only improve the graphics and sound (if we're lucky) so that's what I expect really.

If anything I'd want to have the Water dungeon that was supposed to be there for the third pearl. In the perfect world they'd fix the Triforce quest, but, not gonna happen. They won't fundamentally chance anything about the design of the game. Tingle Tuner and Pictobox as a GamePad function is a given, but don't care about those anyway.

somebody need to zeldafy me :(

That would be brilliant! Surely it cant be too hard to implement... you never know :)

Iwata did say they were refining the gameplay as well as the graphics. That might be as simple as fine-tuning combat but it could indicate that they were planning on working on some of the perceived weaknesses of the original.

I'm not expecting the fetch quest to be removed, but I hope it is. Control of the wind direction on the gamepad sounds pretty neat too.

I just want to see some Zora.
It never made any sense to me that in a world consisting of an ocean, the one aquatic race from the previous games was absent. Yet the Gorons apparently somehow survived Hyrule's flooding...? There's that one Zora sage, but she's a ghost.

The Zora did evolve into Ritos, that's why you don't see them in Wind Waker. Why? No idea. Maybe the Common Hyrulean Zora could not live in sea water?

Yeah. Fresh Water Zora and Salt Water Zora are different species last time I checked. Over the years I've grown to dig my head less and less into the intricacies of the lore due to how convoluted it gets. :P

I am expecting WW with an updated game engine and some nice little tiny extras. I WANT the missing dungeons as well! That would be so spectacular...

As a side note, I always loved the sailing aspects of Wind Waker. The game does such a good job with atmosphere that I just sit back and really get immersed in the sailing. I even liked the treasure hunt part. I just want more dungeons (that were originally going to be in the game).

Give us those missing dungeons, use the GamePad well and cut down the Triforce madness and you've got a truly magical game. Again.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah I've heard that 'theory' before.

WW takes place 100 years after OOT. They evolved from fish to birds within a hundred years?
